  1. Csn you get the choice in cables? This is only detector that has my interest right now, but hate long cables.
  2. Sweeet find. If you can show Keith Southern, may be able to give you idea on value, if thats what uou wanted to know. Nice man!
  3. Man, you have PLENTY of choices. Read Steves detector review pages. My personal choices are the xp deus and the gb pro/f19. But there may very well be another model (makro/nokta, at, mxt, etc, that may suit ya better.
  4. Some? Looks like alot to me! Nice going, hope you find the source!
  5. Wow! Interesting ...and sad. Like many, my first was a Whites in the 70s. Had it about 4 months, then was stolen. Wasnt till 2000 I got another detector. But all those years, I would see guys in a park, and recognize that blue box. Really want them to get back on top. Im the kind of guy that tries to buy American products...
  6. Lots, but still enjoy them. Found a pile of about ten in the spot Ive been hunting this year, laying on top. Left them where found em.
  7. Love that little, delicate broach. Nice find!!!
  8. Nice pieces. And adventure. I bet your like me...just love getting out where others dont, and explore/enjoy nature.
  9. I agree with you buddy, Shannon Poe and AMRA really have all outdoorsmans backs ! Heck, I only go maybe once a year, but dont mind paying for great cause. Shannon has guts...you see his video schooling old Clint up in Idaho? Awesome!
  10. Nice chunky gold! But yeah, not worth dying for, lol. Are these the AMRA claims?
  11. Your living life right man. Enjoy reading about your adventures!
  12. I would like to meet up with the guys on this forum. I will probably be hanging out at the AMRA booth, and the Motherlode Goldhounds booth. Hope to put some names to faces, and swap lies.
  13. Ha! Happy birthday Rick! Always enjoy your post...good sense of humor.
  14. Dude! Helluva a find! And yep, the ground is flowing up here right now, lol.
  15. TVANWHO, we are all well aware of that. Just pulling a silver coin out the ground puts scratches on it. Most Reales are not very valuable, far as I know. Me personally, Im prone to stick that sucker in my mouth, give it spit bath, lol. Good for the immune system. Anyway, Marks coin.
  16. Lol. And before someone asks, I do have permission...reason for the nighthunt is the hwy you can hear in the background.
  17. Wow!nice man. You think maybe from the indian war days? Guessing old fort? Way cool. Arizona has some fantastic history. Going there next week with my wife and daughter...unfortunately they made me promise to not bring a detector lol.
  18. AT Pro is another good machine at identifying especially bottle caps.
  19. Very true Steve. Believe Ive said this before here, but I detect with an old timer...Nevada Brian knows him well too (Jerry). Dude is a wizard with a detector. And what he uses isnt exactly new, state of the art...GP Extreme, GMT , and a 6000. Been out hiking/detecting with him and his gmt looking for nuggets, but stumbling on old camps, so focus on relics...dont need to tell you, but relic hunting a nail infested site with a gmt is no easy task...but he knows that machine like the back of his hand, and Ive seen him pull some fantastic finds. Gotta know your machine, and have good places to hunt.
  20. Bring it to a gold buyer, see what they will give ya.
  21. Ahhh yes, tin is a pain in the arse. On both deus and gb pro/f19, I find as far as vdi, if numbers change much while turning 90 degrees, its tin. But audio tells better story. Often the tin will sound ragged at edge of detection, rather than good, clean tone. And/or size aint right. The worst though, are those small, coin size pieces. I still dig a majority of the hits I get that Im pretty sure will be tin, especially when using a pick , at least while I have the energy.
