  1. Out hiking around today. While standing at the edge of a 20 foot drop, trying to figure out how to get around, damn rattlesnake goes off!Pretty sure I screamed like a little girl,as I jumped, ran and messed my shorts at same time. Was wearing snake gaiters, but he was a big dude,& didnt want to test them out...probably made in China. See how well he blends in.
  2. Very cool, great find in my book. I bring my wife home the big rusty yard art too!
  3. Haha, yall are too funny! And yes Spencer, really gave it the spit bath. Im a roofer..dang sun will probably kill me first!
  4. Dang dude, thats a nice haul! No need for that disclaimer for me...JAWS has kept me out of the ocean since I was 12!
  5. Not much in the relic department today Goldbrick!
  6. Yes,its very rough Swifty! Charging the gp extreme battery right now, lol.
  7. Thanks guys! Jasong, only have about 6 hours on it,lol. But I have had a gb pro since they came out...and its basically the same detector. I was told the f19 was deeper, but so far seems same..except it has variable tone break which is a plus for me. Does seem a little more solid/heavier than the gb pro.
  8. Went out relic hunting with a buddy today. The spot I picked ,the grass was about 3 feet high, making it a pain to swing. We didnt find anything of interest, and by noon he had to leave. I havent swung in a month, and this was my f19's maiden voyage,so I wasnt done. I decided to try a spot nearby that Ive been eyeballing. On the side of the hill,I got a smooth signal, and popped out what I thought was lead...untill I saw some golden glitter! Popped that sucker In my mouth to clean it,lol. I know its average for alot of you guys, but its huge for me,haha. Ray
  9. Wow!What a great partner you have there FFH!! Great stories man, your posts are really fun to read. Thanks
  10. Beautiful man! Thats an area I have always wanted to fish, prospect and explore. I believe thats near where my son fought some fires last year...hes an outdoorsman too,and told me how great it is up there.Ray
  11. I found the am mode to be very stable and quite, compared to the gb pro. You do have to really keep an eye on the gb...I manually adjusted. Maybe your ground is just more extreme than mine?
  12. Wow!Great write up and nice gold! I think we are alot alike...I just enjoy the adventure, solitude and love seeing wildlife. Any good finds is icing on the cake! Sorry about your Grandma. Hope shes not in pain. Lost mine who I was very close to last year. Looking forward to your next adventure! Ray
  13. Tesoros! A compadre is perfect, but anything like silver umax would work well too. When my son was young,I would give him my silver umax, crank the disc all the way,and while I was searching for old silver,he would dig a pile of quarters and dimes...it even disced out most screw caps.
  14. I just bought F_19. Im going to sell my gb pro with 5x10 coil.pm me if interested
  15. This is ripe for the aftermarket. Wonder when someone will manufacture a Deus style rod at under $100.
  16. Ive found probably hundreds of horse shoes...but never with a hoif, lol!! Dude,I dang near spit coffee alk over my phone when I read that. Thanks for the laugh!!! Ray
  17. Congratulations on a first buddy! Looks like you got another dude hooked!! Snakes are already thick around here...what I need is time! Got a brand new f19 sitting on my desk. Can say the recession really is finally over. The only thing I will miss about that, was having time to fish &detect. I take that back, forgot I sold all my detectors when $hit hit the fan, lol. Anyway, snakes dont bother me,well get together sometime soon. Congratulations! Ray
  18. Daniel (tnn) is selling ctx with stock and 6"coil for $1350...killer deal. On Dankowski forum.
  19. Im buying one next week myself. Had the gb pro for few years now....those I trust say its an improvement,so why not?. Good luck man!
