Beautiful nugget Steve! As far as beach erosion...I recomend you check out the Kinzli forum. Tom Tanner (Tom in Salinas) Has the conditions down to a science. He has a write up as a sticky on the subject,and usually will post in advance when upcoming conditions look good for erosion. If I remember when he does, I will let you know. Apparently it takes more thsn a big storm...swells of a certain size need to come from certain direction,blah,blah,lol. I dont beach hunt,ha. Ray

Good strategy. I dont go to that extreme,but I do try to hike as much as possible to stay ready for NoCals canyons. Being a roofer,I stay in decent shape,but it still kicks my butt when I havent been out for awhile.
