  1. Ran mine in pouring rain all day to....but kept the control in my pocket.
  2. Its difficult to get depth in iron trash, the proverbial carpet of nails. In those situations, unmasking and seperation is what is needed, and the mxt with the shooter coil is above average in that department. My son uses the AT Pro, and in the iron mode with the smaller coil,it is deadly. But that is one noisy machine set like that, you even hear the iron in the soil, like a constant grumble.
  3. Hi Paulito, and welcome to the forum. Im just north of you in Calaveras county. Nothing wrong with the MXT...and Steve and Ron summed it up pretty well. One of the better hunters in your area has ran a mxt for years. You may want to pick up a used tdi to compliment the mxt, if funds allow...that will handle the hot ground,is good for gold and can be used for relics if you like. Good luck,Ray
  4. I nominate Troy x-5. Always thought it was just a beautiful detector.
  5. Going on a relic hunt this weekend. Planned it a month ago and booked a hotel room ,so no turning back. Only thing that has me a little anxious,is its 20 miles out a usually DIRT road...they are calling for heavy rain...hope the all-terrains pull us through, lol.
  6. Yep, nice being able to detect/enjoy the outdoors 12 months a year. Now if I could only find some time...may have to start night hunting like Ron!
  7. Hi Trev, fun read buddy. New Zealand and Australia are tops on my list to visit someday with my daughter.
  8. Another one I frequent is http://www.treasureclassifieds.com theres the classifieds section, then a regular forum section that is the easiest place yet to post pics from your phone...and the owner, Joe ,is a cool guy.
  9. Hi Glenn, I have a gp extreme and tdi I will sell...want to try the sdc. As far as the gb pro...My favorite vlf nuggetshooter,I love it. Light, very good i.d.,fast in iron and decent depth and good sensitivity in all metal. Pm me if have any interest in the gp or tdi. Ray
  10. First...kudos Nokta. Second...cant you just make a cable extension? Sell it as a seperate assesory. Ray
  11. Beautiful nugget Steve! As far as beach erosion...I recomend you check out the Kinzli forum. Tom Tanner (Tom in Salinas) Has the conditions down to a science. He has a write up as a sticky on the subject, and usually will post in advance when upcoming conditions look good for erosion. If I remember when he does, I will let you know. Apparently it takes more thsn a big storm...swells of a certain size need to come from certain direction, blah, blah, lol. I dont beach hunt,ha. Ray
