I've got an 07' JK unlimited (4 door). Awesome vehicle! Tom said " too much". That's like having too much money! Just not possible!! Price sounds reasonable. They are a go anywhere prospecting machine! Dean

Treasure / Trash Pouch
bado1 replied to Grass Valley Buck Master's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I use the same one as Luke. Had mine for a few years now and still going strong. What I really like about this one is that the "belt loop" is Velcro so that it can be put on or removed without having to take my belt off. Dean -

Nicely done! Beautiful gold. I scared a couple of small ones up yesterday using the Sadie coil as well. That is one sensitive coil! Dean

Point made, Klunker! I'll stop complaining!! What week can I borrow your 7000? I've got some time off over the week of the 4th. Are you guys burning up over there? Dean

Thanks, Roughwater. Good luck out there! Dean

LukeJ, I was missing the SDC yesterday after an hour or so of pushing the 12" coil through the clumps of grass. Maneuvering the 8" SDC coil in and around and under stuff is much easier on the arm. Definitely gonna have to get a smaller coil like the 8" for the GPX. The SDC is much more immune to hot rocks as well. I didn't realize how many there were on this patch until yesterday! Dean

Thanks, Luke! I know that you will do the same with your HOT SDC! Hopefully, we can get together and hunt some up soon. Dean

Purchased a GPX- 4500 package and an additional 12" round NF Evolution coil from Chris at AZO and took it for it's maiden run today. It was toasty in Central AZ today but I just had to give the new set up a go for a few hours. Not a bad first run... scored three little nugs. Totally HOT set up. Dean

I have not had a chance to research that cap. When I found it I really looked hard for others in the general area. No luck though. I will see what I can find on it and let you know. Dean

Thanks, All! Supposed to be brutally hot (116*) in the deserts this next week. The gold will have to wait a while. Dean

Hit my oldest coin to date with the Fors Relic this morning. 1896 Barber Dime and the coolest crown cap ever! The Fors Relic is impressive in the trash. Too hot to hit the AZ gold fields. This was some Arizona high country relic hunting. HH Dean

Why the need for the larger coils? Do you swing a lot of open ground? Have you looked in to the NF Evolution coils? Dean

Drywasher Tailings Question
bado1 replied to Wendell Clark's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
Welcome to the forum! I pulled 4 small nugs from the fines end yesterday afternoon. I've had more success in the fines than in the coarse ends. Dry washers miss a lot especially when the operators don't know what they are doing. Check it all! Kick or rake down the piles until nice and flat then check them out. Clay ball showing small nug recovered from fines pile. Actually, there were two nugs in there! This is one one the reasons why you want to hit the fines pile. Clay! DWers nightmare. Good luck! Dean -
