  1. White's and Jimmy Sierra used to be "two peas in a pod" so to speak, but White's has seen some big shake-ups lately at the highest levels. Miner John has been making Jimmy's TDI coils for over 2 years now,  contact; Comstock Metal Detectors ("Digger Bob" Vancamp) as he should have the info. you need.

    Good Luck....Rob

  2. I bought a F75 Ltd. for the sole purpose of nugget shooting in the trashiest areas. That being said, my F19 has proven itself time again  to where I have yet to even use my F75 in the trashy diggs. My T2  is also a capable nugget shooter with very good discrimination. Had I known how effective these machines were for swinging through the o'l timer dumps I never would have spent the $1200. on the F75 Ltd. This is what I paid for these machines;

    * T2....$450 (Kellyco)

    *F19....$675 (last years Vegas gold show after "intense" negotiations")

    *F75Ltd...$1200 (mom n' pop prospecting shop)

    The F75Ltd is likely the best of the bunch for this purpose, but these are my experiences with all three machines....good luck!

    BTW, Kellyco will deal so don't hesitate to ask!

    I will have to tell my partner to try concentric I might be getting a 10.5 concentric for the Makro see how that feels on her

    Its a little known secret that Whites still makes the Goldmaster 6x10 concentric coil but only for export. No matter how hard I pressed they wouldn't sell me one, At first they wouldn't even fess-up to still  making them. That was a couple years back and I hear their under new management or ownership.now. They could learn a thing or two in customer relations from Nokta........ .that's for sure.

  4. Find a promising vein or good looking float; with a crack hammer bust all pieces up as uniform as possible(golf ball size is ideal) and fill a large mortar tub about  one layer deep of choice pieces. Run the GB2 w/sniper coil over material from several directions, shuffle and do it once more. If you get a hit, pull that piece, wash it with water and look for free gold. No free gold then check with the Falcon or go right to crush and pan.

    Although requiring patience it is the most efficient system I know for finding gold in quartz, I use it and it works. A "snowbird prospector" showed me this several years ago out in Quartzite. Honestly I would rather do this than dig trash all day.

  5. Living all my life in San Diego, I've been traveling Baja for decades off-roading, camping,  fishing, diving and even some prospecting. Lots of good times and some close calls involving robbery, car accidents, crooked cops and the military. Generally speaking, Mexicans are  welcoming to tourists but foreign prospectors are not considered on the list. Gringos coming into the country and sacking  natural resources will attract the wrong attention and if caught the ramifications severe.

    Last year two guys  I know  were down there nugget detecting and were arrested and taken into custody just south of El Rosario (about 300 miles south of San Diego) After spending the night in jail and having no idea what to expect, they were suddenly released and told to leave the country.Everything they had; Jeep Rubicon, (2) GPX5000's, money and miscl. camping gear confiscated. They had the cloths on their backs  given their passports  and THAT'S IT! After walking several hours they were able to catch a ride  with some fisherman headed back to LA.

    I talked to one of them on the phone  after the event and the guy was still shook up. He and his partner had been going to Mexico and Baja prospecting for several years(and finding good gold) without issue when their luck suddenly ran out. Even though much was lost, he knows that things could have been a lot  worse. These two guys consider their prospecting days in Baja over.

    Some words of advise to anyone thinking of a prospecting adventure into Mexico; Be prepared, consider all risks / ramifications and don't bring anything down there you can't afford to loose.

  6. This question has been in the back of my mind for a while now. If nugget shooting in mild to moderate ground or even stretches of exposed bedrock in a desert wash, how would the 19kHz GB Pro w/stock 10" DD coil perform compared to the 13 kHz F75 w/ 6.5" or 10" concentric elliptical coils? I was going to PM Steve directly with my question but thought forum participation would be better. Thanks for the input,,,,Rob

  7. U.S. detector companies carry themselves a lot like  the "Big 3" auto makers did back in the 1970;s; "We will tell Americans what they want in a car and they will learn to like it". Then foreign competition (Japan) broke into the market listening and giving consumers what they were really looking for. It took Detroit over 20 years to finally figure it out and get back on track.

  8. I've always looked forward to the GPAA Vegas Gold Show but not this year. Having the show venue at a separate location (away from any hotel resort casino) will be inconvenient and not  good for attendance if you ask me. The only reason I'm going is for the lectures and classes, but I doubt it will be the same party atmosphere compared to past shows at the South Point
