  1. Steve once again you are right, just go with the top of the line detectors , thanks for your professional advice .
  2. Always make sure the seller signs a warranty deed, and a performance contract , and has unprotected assets, that way you'll have something to fall back onto for litigation.
  3. OGILUGA how do you feel the depth would be on the 11" coil versus 9"
  4. WOW ! That is really terrible , sorry to hear about people getting taken like that , if the seller promised certain consideration, that equates a performance contract , perhaps litigation would be there only avenue at this point,
  5. Thanks for the test video, I'm really impressed with the depth the DEUS 2 can achieve
  6. Very interesting that makes me consider purchasing a DEUS 2 , thanks for the report
  7. Well if the legend hits fine gold with the 6" coil , that would certainly push me towards the purchase, also if the new updates fix the beach issues, then I'm a buyer.
  8. Yes Simon you have a good point, marketing companies approach manufacturers or vice versa, a lot of them are not qualified to market products properly, but tend to sell themselves like a used car salesman, as long as they get the account is all that matters,
  9. The new deeptech gold hound, on the air test currently on YouTube shows it goes 42 to 50 cm deep, to me it's worth turning a couple knobs to get that type of performance out of it, equinox 800, XP orx ,deus1, deus2, you have to adjust everything anyway in all the videos to get it to perform most of the time, some people may find it easier just to turn a couple knobs, even if you have that eyesight usually be able to see the knobs and turn them quite easily, no problem with glare or bright sunlight, I have no affiliation with deeptech, BUT for 499 euros the price point is much lower and affordable compared to the other units I mentioned
  10. I've watched the deeptech videos, they appear to be a well made unit what would be the Vista gold gain or gold hound detectors be comparable too, it would be interesting to see a test against the legend, sometimes it's quicker and easier to turn knobs without going to an LED screen pushing tons of buttons ,won't even be able to see in certainly light, or having to put glasses on to adjust the unit,
  11. I hope you're happy with the legend, but for me it's 90% Beach use in on the west coast in socal, and 10 to 15% prospecting in Mariposa, I have PI's , ORX and whites, I'm not interested at this time in the legend it looks like it will not be a good beach detector for what I want, as far as prospecting that's up in the air, haven't seen any videos in that regard but I'm waiting, good luck with your legend,
  12. I hope it's a better unit than that,. The legend ! couldn't see anything that equinox hit, not to mention the DEUS 2 because that's a whole different class,, but I'm really reluctant to spend any money on the legend now ,
  13. Yes I seen that video you're referring to that Calabash Digger’s Equinox 800/Legend beach video, it seemed disappointing that the legend did not hit certain things or could go very deep, it may not be a good machine for the beach
  14. There may be a lot of deus coming up for sale
  15. I thank all the people making videos , they're entertaining
  16. Currently with the war in Ukraine and fuel prices increasing, delivery cost and food products are increasing everyday especially in the US , there's less spendable cash available , which trickles down into hobbies, I feel certain sales sectors will be affected
  17. Scams how to avoid them, This is my experience in the US, if you are the buyer , ask for : Their name , cell# landline# payment address, I can tell a lot more about a individual when I speak to them live, if they only want to communicate by text or email that is not a good sign, especially in higher priced items, if they supply you with their cell or landline call it, if it's not a real cell carrier with voicemail, that throws up the first red flag, if you can't leave a message because her voicemail says it's full, that's another red flag that they never answer their voicemail, if it's not a verified us cell provider, it could be a temporary Google cell number or worse, like a virtual # another red flag, Google the number they provided and see what comes up, Google their payment address see what appears on Google maps, is it a real house , apartment or business, if it is a virtual business be very careful, in this day and age there are a lot of virtual properties where someone can lease a virtual phone number mailing address or temporary office by the hour, be very careful with these because most likely they're all scams, Google that address for virtual office space, there's a lot of buildings out there people can rent by the month for that purpose that are very impressive be careful, in this new world of smoke and mirrors, all you need is a domain name ,virtual office, and you have a facade, Next Google the sellers name and see what comes up, does the individual live at that address, you can also enter in realtor.com, Zillow, in a few others, that will show owners, that will show if it's a vacant property, property listed for sale no one is living out and so on, these are all free databases if you want to take the time to investigate it, most of he ones you pay for will give you better search results, If if you're the seller: only accept friends and family PayPal, US postal money orders they are very hard to counterfeit and be cashed instantly at the post office, Hope that helps
  18. Yes Jeff if it performed as well as the equinox 800 that would be better, I agree with that 100%,. But as far as these test's go whether air test or in the ground on on someone's test garden,. It is entertaining, and I thank everyone for doing them,
  19. Thanks for that video, The legend is looking more promising, but will it perform equal to the DEUS 1 in iron
  20. Thanks for posting that video, it's good to know the 40 khz hits the coin, and also with the big nail down the barrel no problem, my main interest in the legend is 40 khz, to look for gold in the streams if it performs as well as the 800 on small gold I will be a buyer for the legend
  21. I asked that question while back in another forum and this is what the reply said: Garrett 24K is an updated version of the Whites 24K. It is my understanding that unlike a previous poster, Garrett did not just paint it black and slap some labels on it. They went over all of the tolerances and improved the stability of the stock coil, added a nice battery charger and some quality NiMh rechargeable batteries for less than the original Whites price. XGB ground balance system really works. Coils are very stable and fairly quiet even on some ground that only the Equinox can handle. The Whites 24K I owned previously would overload if it came anywhere near that same ground and coil knock was atrocious. Garrett 24K is actually an MXT running at 48 kHz since it has an MX7 circuit board not a GMT board. It has iron reject and discrimination options, a two tone option, a one tone VCO audio option, easy pinpointing and ground grab, follow black sand feature and a nice display that is sort of target IDs and sort of ferrous/non-ferrous probability. Easy to use, extremely sensitive and can double for coin and micro jewelry. No wireless audio or waterproofing. OK ergonomics even though it uses 8 AA batteries
  22. Wow , I I was hoping the legend would perform better with the iron bias test, I like to see that same test done with the equinox 800 and even deus1 , I believe the Deus 2 would be better at that test
  23. To evaluate it as a gold prospector in the US I feel the best choice would be Steve, in fact I would like to see Steve evaluate the legend on your gold mode
