  1. I bought a atx earlier this yr and not only did it fail to hit the targets that where there it hurt my shoulder bad... I sold it and bought a sdc. It's not that heavie and I use a docs harness and I can swing it fr hours with out any issues, I also use the coiltek 11in G.extream coil and in one month I pulled 4oz out of the same ground the atx found one 1/2gram piece in a couple months on that hill.... I'm just a gold seeker not a dealer or a expert but the proof is in the pooding...the coiltek did way better then the stock coil.
  2. Ok I know this is a old thread but I want to thank u steve, I'm no rookie when it comes to hunting the yellow or detecting but I have been struggling to get my zed to performe. It's not like I'm wondering if the gold is there, but how to get the zed to tell me. The problem is the ground is full of lava rocks of varying hotness. The noise is bad and if I run auto GB it will tune down to the worst depth and tuning possible in minutes, ya if I run my ecig over the coil and it's in visible un till 12in u know it's bad ground. So with yr settings and using manual GB after auto and giving it a bit to build data then turning to man stops this. unfortunately normal is to hot and after 50 hot rocks I went back to general and with the manual GB I can keep my depth at 20+inches which is a game changer. I have owned the zed now fr a week and after days of struggling with settings, my mistake was running the audio volume to high drownding out the good that are left after whites gmt/gold bug pro/atx/sdc and now a zed have beat the crap out of this spot biggest nug 142grams and alot of gram and sub gram pulled. This is a load sheading from top to bottom and full of the goods allowing me the opportunity to learn this maching rather then try and find a spot to do so. The one thing is the volume and I figured out the GB issue on my own... thanks and happy new yrs.... pic is what the settings have done fr me and the ground I'm in... lol guy was .1gram at about 5in I'm impressed with the power of the zed I cant wait till I realy know this beast if a machine. Thank u steve fr sharing.....
  3. Lmao Jerry well since I just bought a 7000 from u can I get some free coordinates and make sure there real!!! Lmao funny this guy
  4. Well if u pound ground the way successful detectorist do you would have secret spots to...
  5. About 8.5oz fr my yr. Biggest 142g I'm not sure how many targets but it's been a good yr fr the most part. Pic of zed14 nug yesterdays.
  6. Gold Catcher very nice, I know how tough this area is and for you to pop out and hit on yr first time out here I'm impressed. It shows you know what your doing. I did the best with my sdc-coiltek11 but I beat the spot with a bug pro and sdc and atx, witch failed miserably. now I'm still pulling with a 7000, its though trying to get to know it with the spot beat but I know theres big ones so I persist. I'd love to go out and hunt new ground in this area, I would love to put more coils on ground in hit me up if interested... this was November's take...well theres another oz not in there...
  7. If you want some tips hit me up. I been hunting this area and have done well enough to get a sdc and a 7000.. I found alot of nugget with a gold bug pro and quit a few more pieces with sdc. I would love to get together with other peeps that are not rookies and hunt some new prospects in the area.
