Need Help With Button Identification

Thanks GH I just blew up the second pic and it looks like there is a another letter in the lineup ahead of the V looks like an N? -
Hello fellow members I went to an old haunt on Thursday for a few slow hours but I did manage to find a few nice buttons including this early one piece eagle.I have the Warren K. Tice Uniform buttons 1776-1865 book but cannot seem to locate it and i'm hoping that one of the experts out there might know something about it.I apologize for the poor quality photos as I am learning a new camera. If you look closely you will notice two letters below the eagles perch V T or V I ? The Back-mark is not that legible either as there is a lot of wear and I did not want to clean it very much. Thanks Everyone!

It was an epic battle but the Bald Face Hornets won by a vicious TKO! Long story short I spent the remainder of the day hunting for indian artifacts with one eye.

Your Most Unusual (identified) Relics.
Doc Bach replied to Bootscrape's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
That is a very cool relic.... However a good example of where one should be extra cautious about sitting on their helmet for whatever reason. -
I have been on the forum for a year now more or less and thought that I would share a few finds from a couple of sites. One is a recently discovery where I dug the little bank and toy pistol and the other earlier items came from a site that I have been poking around for awhile now. The Bank Will Hold Five Dollars Of Dimes And Unfortunately It Was Empty. The Pistol Has Patent Date But I Cannot Quite Make It Out? Site Two Eagle I With A Push. # 28 Phoenix Never Get Tired Of Those! Roseette And What Maybe Is Tack Related Item? Wreath. Cryer Mission Era? The Experts Out There Will Know. I Call These Perforators. A Fairly Common Trade Item Are The Iron Bits For The So Called Spanish Pump Drill Used By The Native Peoples For Drilling Shell Beads Etcetera. The Pocket Watch Or Compact Lid Was Pounded Flat A Then Perforated To Be Worn As A Gorget IMO. And A Couple Of Iron Relics And Some Of The Usual Stuff That Always Turns UP.

Hello Jeff, and congrats on your stellar pillar coin! just like a previous commenter I am also envious.I for one really appreciate your articulate story telling and the way that it came to see the light of day.Your humbleness and honesty about what could have happened says a lot.Sometimes us detectorist will never know how close that we came to turning a cherished moment and spectacular find into an unpleasant memory.

Below Is Another Blade Much More Stout And Serrated Notice How Some Of The Artifacts Take On An Almost Chameleon Effect. Below After A Wash. Next A Very Large Blade. Below Are Bird Point (So Called) And A Very Small Micro Blade (Scalpel) The Next One Is One Of My Favorite Forms.I've Found A Handful Through The Years. The Final Piece Is A Real Crier A Damaged Bird Adornment Or Charm Carved From Slate. Thanks For Looking.
