Hello fellow members. I have been looking at these for awhile now and was curious if anyone out there has tried them? Personally I am waiting for their Rattler version because I prefer situational awareness that is scheduled for release this spring to use with my Deus 1 and 2 and possibly a second pair for the NOX 800.

You are on the right track....When you get the 240 measure the specific inside dimensions of it and I am pretty sure that Steve can custom build a shaft that will fit it.The Legend looks to be a good choice as well.

Please excuse my candor because I'm not one to mince words but to be frank that really sucks One would think that M L would show a little class and at least offer you the option of sending the 800 back with its original coil, shaft and headphones and allow you the option of putting the $349 pod replacement charge towards a new 700 or 900 but maybe that's a stretch? I would suggest that you get yourself an XP backpack but unfortunately the NOX will not fit into it at least mine will not with the Detect-Ed CF shaft.Furthermore if you ever have the opportunity I would also suggest moving away from M L and get yourself a D2. XP in my opinion has superior build quality and probably better customer service end of rant.

I Had To Take A Few Bullets For What I Got
Doc Bach replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Very nice finds there 350! Coming from the perspective of a longtime relic and artifact hunter as well as a collector I feel that the partial copper is definitely the star of the show.I would also have to concur that your deduction about its purpose is spot on.There is probably not a whole lot of us out here including myself that would have come to that conclusion so quickly so good call.- 35 replies

That truck would put a big smile on just about any treasure hunters face!

Howdy Bootscrape, that's a fine grouping of relics and artifacts that you have there. I found my first barrel taps when I was just a teenager so they occupy a special place in my mind and heart and i never grow tired of seeing them. Also that retro hash pipe brings back a whole lot of very pleasant but somewhat cloudy memories from my youth.I have to admit that i really admire your meticulous effort skill and hard work to bring all of them back to there original condition and glory because they look sharp. However the thing is and please don't be offended but since I named my daughter and two different dogs that I have had Patina I obviously have a different preference.

You're knocking them dead there 350.The sunburst or star accouterment piece or whatever its purpose may have been is a stellar find in my book. -
Big Show In Germany This Weekend

For some of us at least it boils down to one immutable truth. We can only buy what we really need and not what we want.Speaking for myself of course. -
That was my main concern and also a priority.Because for lack of a better expression I live out of my 280 backpack! The reason being I am a little eccentric about being covert and on the sly.So to answer your question I emailed Steve and he answered a resounding yes. However i haven't ordered one as of yet but a couple of other forum members have confirmed that it does.

You seem to be right on course there Captain.I noticed that you are picking up shards of glass etc and spotting the mother of pearl buttons and that is good. And that you are picking out the smaller N.F. targets out of the iron also good.If you ever come across any layers or pits of stove ash or fire pits and if you have the time take the time to investigate. They can be loaded with buttons and other small items.I always carry an XP # 5mm = 1/4 inch mesh gold classifier in my pack to do some exploratory screening. And if productive I bring in my large 1/4 mesh sifter and start moving dirt..I like that you are Humble and good hunting!
-
I'm not sure why Captain but for some reason I thought that you were kind of new to the hobby? Clearly I am not paying close enough attention or maybe I'm slipping a little. At any rate a 40 year man does not need a to whole lot of advice.Anyway there ya go and nice Bott! I have my own wood cookstove door story as do many seasoned detectorist maybe someday I will share it?

Please Gentlemen let us not forget that the frenchies are notorious for sitting back and taking delight in a good pissing match. The more that we bicker about this frustrating subject the more likely that they will stall and delay it even further.
-
That's not a bad array of finds their Captain.Looks like you have the bug and are on your way to becoming a relic hunting fanatic for certain.Keep digging those big iron targets and you will eventually be rewarded with something outstanding. On the rare occasion iron even leads to surprises and much better things including non metallic items.

Am I Dangerously Addicted To Detecting? You Decide.

If your hat and Headphones were still attached to your noggin. And your cold blue mitts were clutching that Apex pick I would say yes but too late to be concerned about it. -
That's good to know Chase.I will look into it.

I was sort of hoping that they would buddy up with Apple as well. So that when the updates finally do begin I won't have to spend my time finding someone else to install them for me.

Oh that"s rich D&P! Going for a little doo-doo stirring there are ya?

Diving Program For High Conductors On The Beach
Doc Bach replied to Steve Andrews's topic in XP Deus II Forum
Very nice historically significant and super early relics and artifacts there Steve.I am not a beach detectorist but if I lived where i had access to sites with finds like those I would quickly start paying my dues and become one.I am very envious. -
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger Jeff.I do the same thing or hope for the e.mail from XP.
