  1. I was trying out a fast program to basically coin shoot in a very trashy area. I hit a very good tone and dug to find a piece a foil. I ran the detector over again and tone was still there. I ended up pulling out a wheatie and the pin pointer hit another target. Dug down a little bit more and two Indian heads were stuck together. I will say I’m loving the DEUS 2
  2. I found a 1946 Rosie about 50 yards from it, I am totally amazed at the condition of this coin. It will definitely keep me closer to home, huge fairgrounds with hopefully a lot more silver
  3. 1920, it’s in excellent shape, great details and hardly any wear
  4. Found this today at the county fairgrounds. It was about 7-8 inches deep and was in a polluted hole. I kept getting a solid tone and xy line along with the other junk. I found a 1946 Roosevelt a few days earlier, same situation. I know this place gets hit a lot and I’m pretty sure people are skipping over these targets.
  5. I had the XP ORX, but only had it for a few months and got to use it about 6 times. I started with the Omega 8500 a couple of years ago. Truthfully I like all 3 detectors, but the XP’s have a very unique sound that helps identify good targets. I really like all the adjustments you can make to the DEUS 2: the multiple tone options, XY screen and all the other tweaks/filters to help in different environments. I’m sure all detectors have their strengths but I’m finding this machine is definitely a keeper.
  6. Took it to a public park/ball field the other day. Spent about four hours and covered most of the 1st and 3rd baselines. Picked up 47 quarters, 28 dimes and 27 copper pennies ( 1 Wheat ). I’m definitely liking this machine, it locks on and gives awesome audio response. I did get fooled about 7-8 times but I’m just cherry picking signals 89 or higher. It’s doing fantastic at coin shooting and I’m going to start taking it to the public swimming areas and boat landings in hopes of finding some rings. I’ve only found one silver dime so far but I guess that’s better then zero.
  7. I’m going to tell everyone in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa to not buy this machine or cancel your order. I would hold off until they can figure out those loose screws and other major issues. Truthfully, this machine is absolutely fantastic and so much fun to use. I have just been using the Deep HC program, only change I made was 5 tones and I use the XY screen. Today alone I got: 24 quarters, 36 dimes and 16 pennies ( 1 wheat). I got fooled 4 times with items I thought would be keepers and weren’t. The park I was at was completely full of trash but the audio and XY screen are amazing. I have the ORX and have only had it for a short time and haven’t got to use it much. So my experience with XP machines is limited but I watched a lot of videos on YouTube and that really helped. I don’t care what machine you use but I figured I would tell you my experience from someone with very limited exposure to XP products.
  8. Weather hit 45 today and I decided to go out and give it a try. I will say watching the tutorial videos really helped and it was easy to get up and running. I have the ORX so I have some familiarity with the machine and some of its features. The noise cancellation is fantastic, had some interference, hit the button and gone. It was only the first use but the VDI seemed to be a lot more consistent and didn’t seem to fluctuate. I have the 11” coil, same as the ORX, it is very smooth and light to swing. The handle angle is nice for me, it’s comfortable and seems natural to hold. The headphones are very clear and I love that they automatically turn on with the unit. I will say the extra tones : 2-5 tones, full tones, pitch and square are a huge step up from the ORX. My only issue so far is the horseshoe screen changes information so frequently, it’s very distracting. I then switched to the xy screen and ran that and found myself staring at the screen even more. I think I’m going to run the xy screen for now, it seems like it gives more information then the horseshoe. I will say it wasn’t a long test run, but so far I’m extremely pleased with the machine.
  9. Just got an email today that mine has shipped and will be here on Monday. They stated that they received a few more 11” coil models after the initial shipment. So hopefully they will start to trickle in.
