It may need to be more specific.....
And written with common sense applied..

Was Jed's gold find the biggest on record?

Great job GM!
Sorry to hear about Whiskey, what a way to go, being bit in the face by a rattler, my God...
Do you think Whiskey told Jed where his gold was hidden?

I love it, thank you for recommending the Q30!
I notched out 0-20 and 55-75 for my search criteria, leaving the gold rings, silver rings and coins ranges un-notched. I find the Q30 a little more chattery than my Fisher F19 though.

When you make changes to the notched areas does the tones change to match the notching?

Hello CG,
I have the tone icon but not the tone break icon on my Q30...

Hello Rick and Palzynski,
Question:
How do get to the Tone Break menu, and how to make adjustments on the Q30?
Thank you!

I would say yes , their electronics are similar but as I said the Q30 Raptor 11X9 elliptic stock coil is more compact than the big Simplex 11 coil , then it is better in the trash , easier to center the targets and a little lighter . The Q30 separation and iron disc are excellent . Saltwater I dont know ...
And I definitely prefer the Q30 modern black + orange look , very nice ... From a discussion I had with a MD dealer they sell more Q30 Q30+ than Simplex over here in France at the moment ...
Good to hear! Thank you!
I think I'll try one!

Yes, looks much better!
Overall Performance, would you say the Q30 is better than the Simplex?
i.e. depth, separation, saltwater, falsing, discrimination, notching, etc.......

I dont have a Simplex+ any more but I would say similar control box dimensions .
For info I have shortened my Q30 handle as it is a bit too long to my opinion . My custom Q30 handle is now 2cms shorter than the factory handle ... It is quite easy to do ..
The Q30 factory handle ( too long ) :
The handle after modif ( 2cm shorter ) . Its much better now ...
Yes, looks much better!

Does anyone know if the handsets for the Simplex and the Q30 are dimensionally the same?

That address resolves to an Albertsons shopping center, perhaps it was a POB at that Postal Annex next to Albertsons 🧐
Would you know if the handsets for the Simplex and Q30, are dimensionally the same?

I'm very thankful not to live in Europe! Detectorists should not be on archeological or historical sites anyway! Get permission from private property land owners prior to detecting! Get permit, if required, on state parks and state beaches. Everything else is fair game, finders keepers losers weepers, unless someone has posted the lost item in the area you are hunting.
Very simple!!
Only My opinion, we welcome yours!
