Ground ID on Deus does not necessarily correlate at all to ground mineralization level.
Yep. Thanks. That is moderately mineralized ground alright.
Yes, phase and mineralization strenght are not connected each other. In these screenshots my Deus showed low phase but high strenght...v3i, on other soil, ferrous phase and very low mineralization strenght..

Very nice! 👌

Yes, that’s right

Halo effect really should help in detecting. That’s why long buried targets are more simple to detect compared to freshly buried ones..
-
Next time try with program 2, setting pitch tone and with disc 1.5..try also to set ground stabilizer to 1.

Yes, the nail becomes to fade out with the disc set to 4 in full tones..

Full tones seems to use a different scale for iron. If you want hear iron you have to lower the disc all the way down. Iron disc still works as well as iron volume. You can use disc but it is at a lower number scale. The manual only states, "Lower the discrimination to hear the ferrous items and ground with low tone in proportion to their conductivity". This is vague and maybe a translation thing? Anywho, the machine is working just fine now that I know how full tones works.

Yes, that’s right..

Used little disc in full tones (3), program 2, iron volume 4: rusty nail over the coil and can hear the iron..

Just saw Gary’s video and it seems that mods/corrections are really interesting: for example the silencer one. I’m really happy for threshold issue solution: we talked about that right here with Gary..

By the way, threshold is now a threshold with hum stopping on iron. That’s a nice thing, XP listens to customers!

Yes, with update customs programs are deleted. I have lost my custom program Focus but it doesn’t matter! Did you have the opportunity to deepen a little this v07? I’ve done the update but can’t try v07 for a week...
-
I have the firmware with big numbers and confirm that machine doesn’t loose depth..

I have a RAV4 (2011) as well. And here diesel is ONLY 2 dollars a liter by now..by the way I think that D1 and D2 are the most comfortable tools ever..

Have to do that air comparison test, maybe during the next video. I tested 50 euro cent coin also on an air test, at home and with the D2, and the distance from the coil was about half meter in program 6. But depth in an air test will be always lower than a buried target in a mild/neutral soil. And this with a pulse induction as well. Things would be much different on a mineralized soil where depth in an air test would be grater. Anyway I’ll do this comparison air test! 👍

Yes, that’s a nice comparison depth test. The bulgarian detector, it seems like a Pirate, maybe a Pirate Deep Hunter, in the test has a too high threshold: threshold in bulgarian detectors is not the classic hum but the general sensitivity which must be set with the gain. But Gain and Threshold are 2 different parameters. Anyway Legend and Nox punch deep but D2 with the 9 inch is impressive. Want to test Relic prog. on the 20” coin. Anyway nice test!

Soil mineralization is the same: other depth tests on the same test garden with mild soil, no strenght bars. Target were the same of the 18” and 20” holes: 50 euro cent coin, 90% copper, 24mm diameter. Deepest frequency for this kind of target is the 8 kHz...I’ll test again with D1 set to 4khz and 12 kHz as well. Soil was wet because of some rain yesterday. Yes both machines were turned on with the same sensitivity, 95. Thanks for your post Chase!

Just back from test garden and did a quick comparison between D2 and D1 on 18” and 20” holes. Both detectors with 11” coils. D1 can’t detect coins in the bottom of the holes. Machines were both ground balanced and both on program 6 with the same settings. D2, set also with GS on 1, is much deeper. D1 was set on 8khz because that’s deepest freq. on that type of high conductivity targets. Next time I’ll do an iron masking test into the hole and not on air. Bye guys!

Ops...yes, sorry. Reactivity set to 3..

Deep HC on high conductors is really...deep! Even with discrimination set to 3 is still very deep..

Hi guys, in this video I try to explain my own program Focus1: it was created for little and low conductor targets on highly mineralized soils and I have to say that it works. You know that I’m not a gold hunter as many of you but I’m a relic hunter and I wanted a very performing program to hunt little/low conductors on highly mineralized soils. Machine was ground balanced in the programs I test but I have to say that there is almost no difference between ground balanced and no ground balanced machine. Bye for now..

Roman bricks, hot stones and mineralized pottery give about 00..and you can see a horizontal line on the XY screen..

I used a 9 inch with Deus1: there is difference but it’s not so big. 11” is deeper especially on medium and big targets. But I can only rely on experience with D1...

Thank you man! Yes, it’s a very deep machine. Unfortunately there is a badger which enjoy itself digging my holes in that test garden 😄. It doesn’t reach the bottom of the hole because holes are too deep. Anyway it has already happened years ago and I thought that someone followed me with a detector.....but I bought a camera trap and saw it was a sympathetic badger!
Next time I’ll do an iron masking test.. -
Hello guys, come back and dug another 20” hole because some animals tried to dig both 18” and my last 20” hole: I think it’s a badger because it has already happened. In the video I wanted to demonstrate that the spot is clean and D2 doesn’t give audio responses on the empty hole. Tried with ground stabilizer set to 1, last time I stupidly forgot. Anyway I want to say that it’s only a test to demonstrate the power of the machine, nothing more..

XP Deus II Observation In Mineralized Ground
in XP Deus II Forum

Glenn, if you want to try a good program to use on strong mineralization try with program n. 2 with disc 5, audio response 4-6, iron volume 5, reactivity 1-3. I don’t say in the video that Ground Stabilizer is on 1 and it’s very important for depth. I did a program based on prog.2, the name is Focus1. On low conductors buried in mineralized soils it’s very good. Just come back from the hematite area which is about 9 miles away from my home. This is the first test I’ve done on mineralized soil with v07 firmware. Focus 1, please name it what you want, is the same but with threshold because it uses Pitch tone which is performing on high mineralization without putting too much effort into the machine...less than PWM and maybe less than square as well. Now threshold works. I took the liberty of giving you some advice because, unluckily, I have to live with the mineralization problem and this is why I have pulse inductions as well.
