Yes, it’s a bit loose like you say..

Here is the little work which my friend has done on the lower stem to pass antenna through, inside the carbon fiber stem..
-
Al dente is ok but not too much otherwise it breaks up!
-
My D2’s mount swings a little and it doesn’t stop even screwing it. It’s bothersome..
-
Friend of mine who noticed the bending of the lower stem has solved it with Nokta/Makro carbon fiber lower stem. According to him it’s almost perfect.. I’m sure XP will solve also this problem..

You could try bottle caps function. Range is from 0 to 5. In areas full of trash could help you..

I always used XY graphic with hot Gary program on V4.0 firmware. But it has been my favourite one since Gary created cold/hot programs with 3.2 firmware. In my opinion full tones are amazing on low mineralized. Instead, things are different on hot soils..

I have a friend of mine who always takes D2 to the sea, both on the shoreline and in the first meter of water. Recently ha has told me that the lower rod suffers a lot from friction with water. He’s 1.90 tall and has to stretch the rod a lot..he's disappointed and worried about that. By the way he uses the 11”..

Very good, this is a great news. Thanks for sharing! 👍

I’m not a prospector but I 100% agree with you, Jeff.

Ah ok...I’d have told you to update again but, if everything works fine now, it’s ok! -
A Little Deus II Weirdness In The Woods Today!

That’s weird..what program were you using? -
Nice report!

That’s a nice idea, a second chapter dedicated to ground stabilizer and its importance for depth.. 😉
-
During the next test on that hole I’ll demonstrate that the signal is not a false. I’ll change ground stabilizer and, I hope, machine would be even deeper. I say this even though depth is not everything. These tests only show the absolute power of the machine. The target was not heard in all sweeping positions but in 2 (1.5) out of 4. There is total silence as well. That’s not a false signal.

This morning have been in the little wood where I want to organize my test bed. During the last depth test I dug a 18 inches hole while this one is a 20 inches hole, a really extreme depth test. Same coin, 50 euro cent. Weak signal, very difficult test but Deus 2 managed to detect the coin. The signal on the 18” hole was much stronger and I think that, covering the hole, coin was no longer perfectly flat. Settings were extreme: prog 6 with sensitivity 98, reactivity 0. But I stupidly didn’t lower ground stabilizer that on program 6 is set to 3 by default. I think the result would certainly have been better. I’ll try again in the near future..

I have to try in Mono...for the rest I totally agree with you..

I totally agree with you, la torche..

Goldfield and Relic progs have square audio by default. But I have the same threshold issue also with that programs. I thought that it was a pitch problem..I don’t know. 🤔
-
Just tried and actually noticed this behavior..
-
I have the same issue, also in Goldfield and Relic. The same and steady hum..
-
It’s my same thought. Yes, “break” is the right term. My opinion is exactly the same. Anyway I’m sure XP will fix it..
-
Sorry Gary, I was reading again your post. When you say that anything above the hum is a signal, what do you think of the hum variations and its “interruption”?

What Does A Break In The Threshold Mean?
Ogliuga replied to martygene's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I like this thread. I love threshold and always used it with pulse inductions but with VLF as well. During the nulling of the threshold I knew that under the coil there was or iron but a deep target as well. Somewhere else I began a thread about a threshold issue: a steady hum without any variation in my opinion is absolutely useless..
