  1. Well done! I agree with you on the Beast coil, it’s so deep on the beach that digging those ‘whispers’ will tear up my back after a half dozen of them. Something always there, but it’s so deep that it’s an effort to go 14-18” or beyond in that wet sand to find non-ferrous junk. I’m sticking with the standard coil for now too, it does just fine. BTW, I used the Tarsacci in the Florida Hunt 8 over the weekend, and it really purred like a kitten once I dialed it in. I didn’t touch the settings all day and it found quite a few deep targets left behind after a few years of hunting the property. Tarsacci is going to be my go-to rig for now, my Nox stayed in the car.
  2. Hi all, just a quick introduction, I’m Gary and I have been detecting mostly in Florida just north of the Treasure coast since the 70s, mostly beach because of convenience, but also love just about any other kind of treasure hunting and detecting, including relic hunting, old homesteads, yards, parks, and bottle digging. Even done a little prospecting a few times when opportunity knocked. I’ve owned more detectors over the years than I can count from most all the manufacturers over the years, but don’t collect them, I’ll use them and move on. I currently have only 5 - Minelab Equinox, Troy X3, 2 Tarsacci’s and an Aquasound (not counting my two wall hangers - my first detectors, a Whites Goldmaster and a Garrett BFO). Happy Hunting!
  3. Weird because I used to go over there and look at the posts on the forum, and although it wasn’t updated all that often, there was a new post now and then. Now, I can’t even access the site, nor see the forums, but it looked like the Tarsacci main sales page is still there. Maybe he’s revamping it? In any event, glad I found this place, I didn’t know it was out there. Just as an introduction - I have 2 Tarsacci detectors, one I bought as early adopter with the stock coil, and the newer one I bought with the 12” beast. I am still using the stock coil for most trips out, don’t mistake - the beast is awesome on depth on the beach, but if it’s past 12-14” I literally can’t dig fast enough to keep up with the sand caving in on deep targets. Diminishing returns…
