Do you think the issue you saw was because you nulled out the VDI range that the ring hits on? I am interested in buying it if you live in the States, I'm here on the Northern California coast.

Its my understanding and experience that they are the same hardware wise. I have an early Vision that was upgraded to the V3i software and my buddy is running the v3 on original software and could have upgraded his unit but didnt want to fix something that isnt broken. Later on they did make some changes to the ribbon cable and there was a free fix for those with the dreaded shutdown issue. I experienced it and had to clean all my grounds and reset my ribbon cable. This was 7 or more years ago and no issues since.

Does anyone see what is happening here? The V3i/Vision was in pre-production and testing in 2008 and here we are 14 years later and it is still being talked about. I swing mine daily and am looking for a new version of it. Waterproof it and incorporate USB charging, I will buy 2. Sure the depth is lacking at times but with the 13" Detech ultimate I get great separation and nearly the same depth as my 15x12". My Etrac couldnt beat it and my detecting buddy who has been swinging a v3 since 2010 says his Equinox 800 may only surpass it on the beach. I have been swinging a v3i for 11 years. Mixed mode stereo mode is unparalleled... Get with it Garrett, there is a huge market here.
