  1. Nice dollar coin. I found a Chuck E. Cheese kids token the other day that rang up like a Quarter. 😆 FYI ... I made those videos for Aaron to use a he likes. I'm not a metal detector video poster on YouTube or on forums but I don't mind Aaron using them for posting if it's useful for people in the hobby. It's nice he finds them educational enough and takes the time to post them. I text those videos to him so I keep them short and I may miss mentioning the name of the mother program. The XPD2 shows the number of mother program in upper left (in this case 3). As a matter a fact I sent him a couple of videos regarding reactivity and I mention programs used after reading this thread 😉. Thanks for reply and Happy Hunting 👍👍
  2. Cool video! We definitely need more videos comparing the Tarsacci versus the XP Deus 2 especially regarding depth. Thanks Aaron
  3. Enjoyed the video!! Well done Aaron... glad to hear 9" is deep in the water. WTG with Buff and Wheats.
  4. Hi everyone. Just so you all understand I'm experimenting with this program with gold rings in mind, I totally understand that having certain low/high VDI readings notched I WILL cut out small silver rings, very large honker gold rings, very small gold cufflinks (which can come in at high 30's), and gold chains. I'm being very specific for my targeted area (without giving away too much LOL) many rings were reported missing, moderate to small wedding bands and engagement rings, etc. I'm sure chains and pendants are there.... I'll get those next time wink/wink. No super sized gold rings reported missing. Problem with the area is lots and lots of clad. I have absolutely no interest in dimes and pennies, I'll take the quarters though or visually pass on them if I'm tired of digging them. Of course my settings have found me LOTS of nickels but you're not finding them you won't be finding gold. I just want to be alerted to mid-conductors in gold range and the quarters when I have limited time and I'm tired of hunting with my normal "open" program like I would use if hunting a beach. Definitely would not use the "Gold Program" if I was hunting a Colonial site. I not trying to claim to be Yoda of Metal Detecting who found the secret Holy Grail program. I'm just using that program as a tool for a specific task. I am constantly tweaking my programs to get the most out of my site conditions I have before me versus time I have to hunt. I am always open to suggestions and happy to learn. Thanks for replying.
  5. Simply AWESOME!!! Huuuuge congrats on such a super find! Incredible to find gold on its maiden voyage.
  6. Strick, One more thing did you update yours with the 0.7 update? XP improved relic and gold field mode with a notch feature that eliminated 0.0 falseing with a high tone. Also notch feature can be used now like in other programs. Check out Gary’s video if you haven’t already
  7. Strick, Please keep me posted on what you discover on saltwater beaches I won’t be able to get to one to probably in July. When I had the Nox I didn’t use the F2 to the degree to knockout bottle caps all the way so my experience is limited. My friend loves his equinox has two machines, 2nd he bought from me, I only sold because the flute like Minelab tones don’t work well with my hearing loss. Deus screams… dig me!! And I can hear it LOL D2 is definitely an improvement over the Deus 1. The D1 was a bottle cap hound, So I’ve been enjoying this D2 with the bottle cap rejection in trashy parks but I tend to mostly hunt with open programs with very little to no discrimination unless it’s a trashy park. HH Andy
  8. Strick, Interesting, so far I’ve been testing the D2 in a very trashy park littered with bottle caps on the surface and below and I have been pulling coins out I have not dug up one even rusty bottle cap which I know are there. Of course I will no speak to black sand beach or salt water beach. I haven’t hunted an area like that yet. But I hunt a brackish river near me and D2 is ignoring the bottle caps rather well….. only the beer type rusted or not. Somebody needs to invent technology that can tell the difference between gold rings and pull tabs then I’d be a happy man LOL Trashy park from the other day
  9. Hello everyone I am diggin dude (Andy) from treasurenet and Tarsacci forums. Thought I’d join this forum since I recognized other members from the other two forums on here. I’m not a heavy poster of my finds unless it’s something out of the ordinary or rare. I like to read the technical information about metal detectors and help out where I can with those subjects. I currently use XP Deus and Tarsacci metal detectors and preordered XP Deus II My favorite finds: 50BC Celtic gold quarter stater (UK). 1910 USA five dollar gold coin, 1662 Oak Tree twopence, various American Revolution uniform buttons.
