  1. I was using the legend the other day, I did not get a solid signal but something told me to dig. What I found was a quarter and a nickle next to each other, the legend was trying to block the signal as if it were an iron target, just like iffy with the nail and nickle.

  2. True, lines or zig zags for infill sort of determines strength, sometimes it is trial and error, most of the stuff I print are between 70 -80 % infill, but they can still break, some have broken (cracked) from shipping, I usually just replace for people, message me your address here or ebay, and I will send another.

Looks like a typical printed object where the person printing it doesn't take the time to "clean it up", sand it down and/or buff it. 😀 Most of the printed things I get are like that. Should get mine soon.

You do know that sanding and buffing even a small object like that will take 1 - 2 hours. Not sure what you were paid per hour to work, but no one would want to pay my labor rate. I sell many 3d printed items on ebay, 1 in 100 people ask the same without taking in consideration for time. My 3d printed parts are a little smother, but I let my machine rune rather slow.

I make the stand Chase gives the link to in the 3rd post as well as pinpointer holsters for the deus

Early on as a seller I had a couple of "chargebacks", but not many. Most people are honest, and I won't sell anything to low or no feedback people.

As a buyer I check ALL reviews, and generally won't buy unless the seller is 100%.

I sell on ebay, and up until this year I had 100%, but for some reason and without contacting me first 2 people bought items for less that $10 and gave me a neg. Usually if someone is not satisfied I give a refund with out questions and do not ask for the item to be returned.

Its much like buying from Amazon, a product has 4 1/2 stars, if you read the reviews there is always 1 or 2 people who give the product a 1 star, usually for no reason other than having no common sense. A product may state it is water resistant, and the complainer says he dunked it in water and it stopped working.

I've run into more than my share of bumper babies in my lifetime. a bumper baby is someone who was dropped on there head one too many times.

I've noticed there is a bunch of people making gizmo's to center their shaft on the 6" coil, is this necessary? What's the 6" coil like to swing?

I know I always hated the First Texas stock coil with the T2 because it had coil ears mounted nearer to the rear of the coil, it just felt weird but the little 6" shouldn't be too bad with them at the rear I guess?

So what's the verdict? Do people find it OK?

Here is one of the Gizmo's people are making

I am a bit puzzled why they did the ears at the rear though.

    That's funny

Man a rattlesnake bite to the face? Cannot see many people surviving that. One thing that I watch for carefully in Georgia is Copperheads. I try to remember never put my feet or hands anywhere I cannot see carefully. Snakes blend into their backgrounds and snakes don't always run when you are near them. It is in their nature to stay hidden up to the last moment when they are within striking distance. Only had one close encounter with a Copperhead in my garage. A flat headed shovel separated his head from his body. Out in the wild, I let them alone and move elsewhere. But in my garage is a different matter.

  7. My legend came last week, I've used it once. So far I'm impressed, without realizing it I had cranked the sensitivity up to 28, in comparison with my deus I cannot go above 89, the nox was usually at 16-17. The legend was quiet as a mouse, I changed the sensitivity down to 20 after digging 14 inch holes and still not finding the target, this would be okay if it was winter and we had lots of rain, but  the Arizona desert leave it almost impossible to dig more than 4-6 inches in any park this time of year without a backhoe.

  8. it is amazing what can be made with a 3d printer. I've had my Ridgid table saw for 25 years and always hated how the fence would not align, then one day I was watching youtube and someone had an idea for a newer model, now mine is better than the factory. From metal detectors to shop tools it has been a great learning tool.

  9. I designed a bi-pod for both the deus and GM100, after printing one I found them to be a nuisance getting in the way , if you want my files for either on of those I will put them on google drive, the other stand for the Deus I sell on ebay, but they sell as soon as I list them
