Found a small aluminum tag and a deformed bullet today. Not bad for 15 mins in the front lawn.

Was just testing the Legend update a bit. It is working very well.

The new update is fantastic. 

I got my first wheatie, 4 memorials, a dime and a strange item that I have no idea what it is. All on my front lawn I went over ten times. Great success! 

Running it at 15k 11inch coil, park with ground disc. Recovery 6. 

Lovin it. 

I have swung the 6inch quite a bit and I do not have any issue with it being this way. 

Pinpoints great and it is very light. 

Yeah, I do kick it a lot, but the little guy is worth it.

Yeah, it is kind of cool. My first pocket knife dig and it is salvagable. I have to figure out how to restore it. 

Its actually a cool little lock blade. Never seen one so small and old. 

You never know what you're gonna find. 

Went to a little spot in some town open space that I thought might be promising. 

I wasn't hoping for anything and after an hour or so I was ready to bag it. 

Then I get a tone!! And pull out this bad boy!

Looks like a 70's maybe late 60s knife and it is in decent shape!

I haven't cleaned it yet. 

Applied the update and swung over my front lawn again. I have gone over these spots a lot, instantly started hitting coins 4 pennies in 30 mins. Overall it seems much much better and more importantly seems consistent. 

I think Nokta nailed it.

Gonna try to go dig some junk this afternoon. Going off the beaten path. An old mill site. 

Last time there I found half a horseshoe and half an axe head. Im going to bushwack my way deeper in and see if the finds improve.

Lol sounds like my outing this weekend. 

Not a lot. Clad, foil, ring pulls. Finding an old style ring pull felt good after a while. lol

Went out today to detect on my sisters property. There is a lost 24k ring somewhere on the land, didn't find it.

But I took my daughter 16 and let her use my old detector. We didn't find much but she liked it and she doesn't like doing well, much, lol. Funny thing is she kept getting good targets with that old noname detector. I was laughing about that. 

So we drove home talking about the old fields we were driving past, planning our next adventure. 

So I found a different kind of treasure. The best kind. 

As a newbie I love the Legend. It is so easy to use even I can't do too bad. 

I think of this detector as a platform. Nokta seems very on top of fixing things and new coils are on their way. 

I will get the 9x5 for sure. This machine will shine brighter and brighter as feedback is put into the machine and the platform grows. 

and as a noob I like the idea that I got a great machine at a great price. 

Easy to use, light, flexible, I am very glad I got into this hobby with this as my first metal detector, I love it. 

Hell I found half a horse shoe the other day. Can't beat that!

Hello!

I am just starting out metal detecting. My detector is the Nokta Makro Legend, my first real detector. I live in Southern NH. 

So far I have done a little detecting on a farm but that permission isn't working out. So I have been going to parks, local hiking trails, the woods. 

Best find so far was an OX Knob and an Indian Head penny. 

I will be at BONE 29 in April. 

Biggest challenge is of course, getting permissions. It seems like I am going to have to do some door knocking. 

Anyway, shout out to all my NH diggers. Nothing better than digging a hole in NH. lol

Anyone want to share a sweet permission, let me know! 🙂
