No matter the machine, the best thing for anybody is just learn that detector and put in those hours. That and research is what gets the gold, not any one “magic machine”.
This should be pinned at the top of every sub forum here.....

Congrats on the gold.

I somehow missed this post. Well done Andy.

I've always wanted a Vanquish.......maybe I'll be able to afford the Minelab model. The Aston Martin version is a little spendy!
Maybe you can cash in some of those Air miles ?

That's a great story. That is great that the young kids were there to witness the find that should provide a life long memory.
-
That is a fantastic find. Thanks for the links.

If I were to buy a new detector these are the only two I would buy from.

There will be another Telescopic Equinox rod option available soon. Hopefully by the end of April. You won't need any adapters either. I believe Serious Detecting will be the US supplier.

I got this manual at a swap meet in Quartzsite, Arizona. It's a manual written by Ben Thompson,
Have you had a chance to read it? How was it if you did? I have a feeling it would get the brain going.

I am curious why no U.S. manufacturers offer a discount to U.S. veterans.
That's a good question.

I am still curious why Minelab doesn't offer this discount to the Australian Vets.

Looks like a new contest from minelab. I don't know whats in a Minelab Mystery Prize Box.

I wonder if all US dealers are offing this. So far I have only seen three offering this.

I find it incredibly weird that Tesoro refuses to put out a statement on their website explaining what is going on. It’s not the Tesoro I used to know.
Very Strange to say the least.
QuoteJust got my silver umax back from tesoro yesterday. 2 months and 10 days since I sent it in. So glad they are still doing repairs albeit slowly.
I just copied this from the Tesoro Metal Detectors facebook page. That quote was posted on Feb 10th 2019.
I did try and call them but it goes to an answering machine. I didn't leave a message.
-
There website is still up. http://www.tesoro.com/ I read on facebook that people were still getting their detectors repaired thru Tesoro.
You may want to try and call them.

I think the best part of the show is the week, week and half prior in the hotels and tents along the I-10.

Hey Mitchel, If you turn them inside out you will get another week out of each pair.
Just go commando. Your wedding vegetables will thank you.

If you enjoy rocks and gems like I do, you must go to Tucson. My wife and I spent three days there and we didn't see all of it.
Highly recommend it. Norm
You couldn't see half of it in a week. Did you come this year?

Of course......a NF Evo coil selling video. What better way to do it. He would probably sell more NF Evo coils than GPZ 7000's. On another note though, the 14" Zed coil would get into those same places as that 15" Evo coil. Had he been swinging a Zed he may have walked out with 15 nuggets. Now that would have to be a good advert for the Zed.? I don't think the cost of a Zed would be an issue for Chris. Despite family life.
Good luck out there
I am pretty sure Chris has a Zed he is one of the largest Minelab dealers in Arizona and also the North American distributor for NF Coils I believe. It is debatable if his video is an advert or not, I don't care one way or the other, but what I do know for a fact is that Chris knows how to find gold.
Be safe on that bike of yours those trails look pretty skinny.

I would get any all of Jim Straights books while you can.
I would also read these if you haven't already. https://www.detectorprospector.com/forums/forum/53-minelab-equinox-fan-club/ You will get a better understanding of your machine.
