Yeah, people got them two days ago, and it’s winter in half the country. And obviously every new owner is on this forum! Why haven’t we seen dozens of reports yet?

Pretty sure it's winter in the whole country 😀.  There were a few members who I really would've thought posted by now.  Maybe they ate too much Turkey and are still sleeping it off.

Oh yeah, tip number 3… don’t run the sensitivity too high when staring out! Like no more than default, or maybe a notch or two less. My video recommendations is already out of date. We shot some new stuff while I was in Oz, but I’ll do a written version also, maybe tomorrow. I’ll be doing a post on that asap, plus one on the coils. Stuff new buyers really need to know. A bonus for forum members.

Is Garrett paying you?  If not they should be.  Thanks for doing what your doing.

My number one tip to new owners - toss a roll of electrical tape in your kit. From rubber battery doors that won't stay shut, to broken rod clamps, there is nothing you might run into that a simple roll of good electrical tape can't handle.

I always have a few rolls of self fusing tape with me.  One in my pack and the other in my truck.  Little more expensive than electrical tape but it doesn't leave any residue.

I just wanted to add for those interested the Axiom baby is on the way Gerry sent the delivery notification today and in delivery terms the ups stork’s flying smooth as silk, it won’t be long… think I’ll name Gerry as the godfather he’s taken such good care up to date, why stop now.

I hope you can give an update on how the Axiom works out for you in GB.

I have had a handful of inquiry's as a Minelab dealer for over 20 years, I have yet to know what the "Minelab Tool Kit" is?  I have sent a few emails to find out ....

My guess would be one of their detectors.  Which ever is being advertised.

It's simple. Dealers doing anything else are using your money, and trying hard to lock you into making a purchase now, one that you might decide against later. Frankly, I never did it just because I knew very well delays happen, and I got tired of customers yelling at me because of the delay. It was funny, because there are people who practically insist you take a deposit. Well, for people like that, there are plenty of people willing to take it.

    This deserves two thumbs up.

OK, I'm not embarrassed to ask:  why is the point offset (side-to-side) / asymmetric?  (On my Hodan model it's centered.)  It seems that when that tip hits the ground, if the shaft isn't rotated just right, the pick will pivot, with assoicated loss of useable energy.

    Also curious.  Nice looking pick.
