When I owned Fort Bedford Metal Detectors, we had these built to use with the large coils used by relic hunters in the Eastern US…. No more broken handles! https://fortbedfordmetaldetectors.com/product/jp-s-minelab-gpx-aluminium-handle/

Got The Headphone Trifecta, Which One Do I Like?
Keith Leppert replied to F350Platinum's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
Hello F350Platinium, The Thresher line does not use a speaker but instead uses piezos.... they have to be pizeos due to the need to submerse the headphones fully underwater. Piezos will never sound as good as regular speakers and as such there are limitations to the underwater options. As for the Killer Bs, they do use speakers and I suspect there possibly may be an issue with your specific pair of headphones. When compared with a sound meter, the Bs are very close in volume to the ML105s - but with the sound isolation in the Bs generally are regarded as plenty loud for most users. Most of the testers and the users who have been surveyed showed they set their volume in the 20-21 range. Clarity has also been praised by reviewers.... again making me think there is possibly an issue with your headphones. As discussed via email, we will verify this for you. Thanks for contacting us with your concern and feedback, we appreciate it. -

That probably would work…. If I could borrow it for a short time…. 🙂 I’ll send you a PM. Thanks! -
MX Sport - Headphone Connector Pinout Needed
Keith Leppert replied to Keith Leppert's topic in White's Metal Detectors
Thanks Chase, If I had aSport here to test, it would be easy to figure it out…but sadly i do not have access to one. In this case a customer wants a pair of Threshers for his MX Sport…. Which is easy if I know which pins are the outputs. 🙂 I appreciate the reply. -

MX Sport - Headphone Connector Pinout Needed
Keith Leppert posted a topic in White's Metal Detectors
I know this is a long shot... but does anyone have the pinout mapped out for the headphone connector on an MX Sport? I tried asking a few of my contacts this question, but have come up short so far... Thank you -
I know many of you are aware, but I'm posting this for those who may not be familiar with the situation in the US regarding service. Until the end of 2023 Detector Center was the sole service provider for Minelab, providing warranty and non-warranty repairs of its detectors. Starting Jan 1 2024, Minelab has taken this role back in house for warranty repairs. However I just wanted to post a short blurb that Detector Center is still here.... we continue to complete non-warranty service of your favorite Minelab - be it a gold machine, coin detector, or water hunting detector, etc. Basically, if it's under warranty - get it taken care of by Minelab. But if it's out of warranty we can help.... as the techs are here and we continue to stock the vast majority of the parts needed to fix these detectors. Now in regards to some our favorite older detectors (15 years old and older) sometimes we run into the situation where there simply are no parts to be found.... unless we have something to salvage from another detector. So if you need a repair on something older, it is best to give us a call and talk with one of the techs to get a feel if its repairable or not. Also we can sell you some small parts that are otherwise hard to obtain through your dealer.... not all are listed on our website so don't be afraid to ask if something you need is not listed.... ? In the event you need to set up a repair it's easy - just go to https://www.detectorrepair.com and follow the links to set up the repair... or give us a call at 814-283-4270 to discuss your options. Thanks for your time everyone, and to Steve for letting me post this here.

Gerry - All of the warranty repairs are now handled in Chicago…. We will have none of those going forward. Our focus will be the non-warranty repairs…. Including some models of which are long out of production. Those probably will not be touched by the new techs in Chicago, but Im not going to speak for them and exactly what they will be able to diagnose. So yes, we can repair most of the older models in PA, but also some of those are old enough that the parts are not available. If you have any question if a specific model can be repaired, just ask. As for other brands, we could only take care of generic repairs (coil wires, capacitor changes, battery connections, and some switches, etc.) as we don’t stock parts for other brands. Not opposed to looking at them, but realistically there are other options in some cases that make more sense for the consumer if another service center has the parts available to them. Hope my rambling makes sense, and that all is well for you.

Hello everyone - It is true, Minelab is taking over warranty repairs and performing them “in house” going forward. However Detector Center is not going anywhere….. while we are not taking on any new Warranty repairs, we will continue to perform repairs on your favorite detector that is out of warranty. We also are going to update the website so that some parts will be able to be purchased online. That is going to be a few more days but that component of our website should be fixed shortly. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need something, either at the website www.detectorrepair.com or 814-283-4270. Thanks!

How Bad Is Minelab Customer Service?
Keith Leppert replied to Edward78208's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Hello everyone - I saw the need to follow up on this for clarity. Detector Center is an independent but Minelab dedicated Authorized Service Center. This business is staffed by technicians who repair detectors, but Minelab's Naperville office handles the initial processing of your concerns and put the repair process in motion. To set up a repair, first contact Minelab Service at the following contact points: 877-767-6522 or service@minelabamericas.com The address to ship your detector after you first contact Minelab for initial processing: Detector Center 188 Oak Shade Road Alum Bank, PA 15521 Thank you everyone
