Price For Used GPZ 7000 Slips Under $5000
Gold Ryder replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Minelab GPZ 7000 Forum
Gerry- Yeah kind of what I assumed. Im hoping if I decide to pick one up to do it in the $5500 range for stock coil and machine, ideally Id want the NF 12" or an X coil and realize that will up the price. Im on the fence on wether to keep running Micks Mod or switch into a 7000. The mod works great. Im just kind of getting lazier over time when it comes to tuning the damn thing constantly. Id love to see the 8000 come on the scene by the time I head back down to Az but we all know that story. -

I just wanted to revisit this. Im gonna be in the market before spring to add to the quiver. And wondering what to expect from the "used" 7000 market these days. -

Comstock Epithermal, Miners Took The Whole Vein Out!
Gold Ryder replied to Wild Bill's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Anybody know the significance of quartz crystals in a gold mine like that. Ive got a buddy prowling around a mine near Leadville Colorado with quartz crystals. They are in process of sampling the old adit and its dump -
Like I said. Ive pulled enough gold and trash now. You are 100% wrong.

Are you saying there is no tone variance in prospecting mode or am I missing something? If so I highly disagree. But I may be misinterpreting your post.

Everywhere in Montana. They make good rattlesnake dens these days. -
Notice how he is using the 6000 do do the work. Their hunting reminds me of our claims and the other places we hunt. Although 5000, mods and 7000s are used by the guys I hunt with. By far and away by ounces upon ounces upon ounces the 6000 reins as king when it comes to overall gold take. And after 4 years of using it and on a new patch I found recently. Im still learning its language. Its an absolute weapon.

Hands down the best there is. Goldseeker5000 turned me on to them a couple years ago. We hunt in alot if cactus and sharp rocks in Montana and Arizona. They stay in place, comfortable and highly protective. I wouldnt be without them. In fact I own three pair. Just in case.

Best Pinpointer For Gold Detecting With GPX 6000?
Gold Ryder replied to Zoomie97's topic in Minelab GPX 6000 Forum
Maybe then but Ive detected a couple thousand nuggets from .024 to almost a half an ounce, with the 6000 and never have used a pin pointer. By the time you are done dinking around pinpointing I will be on another target or two. One of my partners packs a monster around in trashy areas for a discriminator and that makes sense. Now if we start talking The 5000 and 7000 with big coils thats a different story. -
