Just heard of a new update for the Algoforce, anyone know what the updates will improve and if available yet.

I agree, I think the 12" round evo is the ideal compromise between sensitivity to small pieces and depth on the bigger pieces. Anything bigger than about a 14"x9" coil isn't really much benefit to the E1500. I also think the 4 gold modes are more like the ground type modes on the 6K and the 7k, but instead of normal and difficult you have 4 ground types. I've been running the E1500 in fine or normal. Ultra fine is a bit too sensitive for my ground and runs better in either fine or normal. Almost no hot rocks and smooths the ground mineralization right out. The target signal is sharper and brighter with a stable quiet threshold. I wouldn't write the small bundle coils off just yet as I'm sure they will come into play if the ground gets saturated again. I remember when I got the 6K the ground was just too wet in places to be able to use it even in difficult and minimum sensitivity.

All 3 will definitely shorten the the learning curve, by years.😄

Probably the best video I've watched so far on the E1500, pretty much mirrors my results. I think he would have got slightly better depth with a round spiral coil like a 9" elite ,11" elite or the 12" evo. Just a shame he never tested the pinpoint ID numbers on all the different nuggets whilst they were buried. From my experience the nuggets can ID anywhere from 00 to 30. The smallest ID at 00 and I think that's because they are too small to get an accurate ID, just like tiny bits of rust, wire, lead shot ect. Slightly bigger and they ID in the 1,2,3 's and the ID numbers increase as the nugget size increases.

I buy them off ebay, a dollar or two per grip. Lots of different types and colours to choose from.

I also use tennis racket grips on all my detectors. I have fairly large hands and they help stop them cramping up from squeezing the handles of the detectors. The thicker handles with the racket grips are a better fit for my hands and I use the ones with a raised ridge that stops my hand sliding up the handles. An added bonus is that they are easily replaced and when removed the detector looks like new underneath them which helps if I go to sell the detector.

I agree with phrunt that you'll definitely find smaller pieces, with the E1500 that the 4500 has missed. The lighter weight will be a blessing, but the extra sensitivity means you'll be up and down a lot more recovering those small previously undetected targets. I'm 60 and that's what knock's me around. Seems to be a long way down there these days, I'm doing a lot more grunting and groaning than I used to. LOL 😆

Yea I hope it's something different too. He's been saying to hang onto all your old coils for quite awhile now, hinting that they will come into play again. When the E1500 was released I thought he must have been suggesting keeping them to use on it. But now I think they might be for his new beaut detector.

I just finished watching Woody's latest video, very interesting indeed. He's saying there is a new detector coming out this year that will be far better than anything available at the moment. Mmmm time will tell I suppose. ⏱ Hope he's right. Just about due for another game changer. 😉

Not really, the biggest and deepest one was at approximately 10". It was that nice mellow signal you walk around all day listening for.

Yes I agree gives you a lot of confidence knowing you have the detector tuned to perfection and your working in harmony with it.

I could of easily dismissed that speci as a hot rock, no visible gold and very light. After a bit of spit and a rub on my jeans I found a bit of gold poking through the dirty coating.

I'm in NSW and yes it's stable. I'm impressed with how stable it runs and handles emi. It still requires regular ground balances but I do that when investigating the slightest of murmurs anyway. Yes I think the sp-01 and headphones help with the iffy signals (for me anyway). First time out with the E1500 I used the speaker only. I've been using headphones and boosters (enhancers) ever since I bought a second hand SD2200 (when the extremes first came out). I couldn’t believe the difference without them, wind, trees blowing, traffic on the highway, dry leaves on the ground sounded like running the coil over corn flakes not to mention the sound of the plastic rubbing over the ground. I felt naked without my headphones on blocking most of that noise out.
