  1. Thanks phrunt, never knew that, always been faithful re-charging all of my batteries (13) for the 5,7 and now the 6 every month or so to keep them fully charged.
  2. Good to meet you and your brother at Gerry's training. I tried several different settings on purpose just to get comfortable with the 6, I do feel more comfortable with the 6 than with the 5 or 7 at this same stage of ownership.
  3. I have 3 batteries now, always carry one extra in my backpack so not to concerned about how long each last.
  4. Nice Swegin, I took the training the week before, Helped understand the 6 greatly, wished I had trained with the 5 and 7, took a long time to understand both machines compared to the 6.
  5. I have the 5,6 and 7, purchased all at top dollar, just couldn't wait for the price to drop, dang!
  6. Good advice from these folks billdean, you will figure it out, continued good luck finding gold.
  7. Gerry, saw a black tarantula the last day of training, a little bit larger than the one you took a picture of. My first in 7 years.
  8. I have 2 sets of keys, I leave the spare set at camp in one of my clothes bags, I put the ones I am using in my back pack when I am detecting. Hopefully I never have to walk all the way back to camp to retrieve my spare set.
  9. Good to meet you and Ed, you fit right in with the folks on this forum, don't be strangers.
  10. I find that a NY Yankees ball cap keeps me cooler that a B-red sox's hat does, can't really explain why, just one of those mysteries.
  11. Sorry for you loss George, I have a digging partner myself that I would hate to lose.
  12. Gerry, On Amazon, there is a small power inverter, a Bestek 75W DC to 110 volt car inverter. It plugs into the power port and you can plug in the 6000 battery charger into the end. It is a small "fit into you hand inverter".
  13. I have purchased several of the white long sleeve shirts, they are nice even in hot weather. When using head phones, I wear a ball cap and have a scarf under the cap protecting my neck.
  14. Good on you Gerry, much deserved for the hard work you in.
  15. Looks like the 6 is working good for you, nice gold.
  16. Nice yellow oneguy, continued success!
  17. Yea, twisting not that big of a deal, I can handle that but a Minelab or aftermarket fix will come along, sooner or later.
  18. I believe you both could teach Minelab a thing or two.
  19. I have a Polaris side X side so I carry a very small detecting back pack and can re-supply at my buggy when needed.
  20. the 6000 headphones are very comfortable. I'll use them in cool or windy weather, ear buds in good weather conditions.
