  1. Amazing how small of nuggets the 7000 can detect. Good way to start the year Lunk.
  2. Welcome to the forum Travis, nice finds.
  3. I keep a old coffee ( large size } can in the back of my side X side, I just emptied it at the end of the season for the first time in a couple of years, I'll bet half of the mass was bullets and shell casings. Trying to do my part to clean up our detecting areas.
  4. Found a few old metal cigar containers in my travels but nothing tike those, wow, good going!
  5. I have been metal detecting since 2016, only one or two weeks each year due to my work. Retired last December planning to spend all of my time, full time, detecting. Many many miles to travel to get to good gold grounds. Didn't get to fulfil my hopes this year due to what's going on. As soon as things get better, I will be out there looking to find good gold, but I just love to be out there no matter how big or little the nuggets are. Merry Christmas to all.
  6. Only ever found one nugget detecting in the snow, you are one tuff son-of-a-gun my friend.
  7. Welcome NorthofNorth, Chris Ralph has many good suggestions on his Youtube site dealing with the kind of questions you are asking about, check it out.
  8. Nice finds folks. My deepest sadly was a round metal disc 2 inches in diameter as deep as I could reach laying on my belly thinking I hit a big one. I'll keep trying to find the big nugget.
  9. Great Christmas ornaments guys, hope to add some to my tree next year!
  10. Hope that's a forever stamp with your face on it Jerry.
  11. Welcome Robert Eaton Jr. Your first post is long enough to go for 2 Crowns. Hope for the best of your detecting future. Keep on keeping on!
  12. Thanks And, very nice presentation, and very true!
  13. Sounds like WW2 Silver, sad episode in human history. Lets hope and pray that we as a species can progress from discrimination of our fellow man/woman.
  14. Idaho is one of my very favorite places, spent a lot of time there for work. I will be going their now to prospect, thanks for posting.
  15. I agree, Magnetite or Hematite. Check to see if magnetic, more so if Magnetite.
  16. Thanks Gerry, you will be the first I contact when/if it comes time.
  17. Thanks JP, I need to spend much more time with my 7000 to get more comfortable with it.
  18. Hard to believe the 6000 would cost less than the 5000 when it comes out, the 5000 price would drop much below the 6. If the 6000 is around $3000, I would be in the market if it is a huge improvement.
  19. I usually take the 5000 and 7000 with me , love to have a 800 though, I have a GB2 but not the same.
