When I was younger when camping with my girlfriend, we were playing cards at out at a pickneck table, it was dark, 2 bears emerged from in back of our tent, I told her to stand up, but we were traped behind the seats and the table, 1 bear went on her side of the table, one on my side, the bear on my side, put his nose on my leg and both continued on to tip over the trash cans a few feet away, moved on to the camp above us. Relived that we had not had a problem with them, the folks at the next campsite we could hear banging pots and pans to scare them aeway. Tense moments for a little while but we did ok.

Thanks for your opinions folks, both the Axiom and the 6000 are great detectors, I do hope that the customer becomes most importment to all manufactures of all equipment and less focus on making the almighty buck, companies have to make money but not at the expence of quality and what the customer wants and needs. I do think there is hope for that in the future. I hope.

Another day older and out of debt.

I have used a shovel handle ( need to pick a thin handle top ) to replace a 18'' handle to a 3 1/2 foot handle just using a bench grinder and a file to fine tune the shape to fit my pick. Used the same metal wedge for the new handle. I can stand to dig gold until it is out of the hole now. Shaping a new handle is much easier than it seems at first, give it a try. The long handled pick doesn't work every where but I have 9 picks of different length handles, 9 picks what the heck was I thinking?

Nice gold Condor, hope to get out that way again in the Fall. Spent 17 days out that way in the cold and rainy Spring time, thought that maybe it for a few years but that area keeps calling me back.

Hi Doc! you're the best, thanks for all your hard work on stuff. I have used the "Quipple" for a few years now, great product, it is so easy to use and adjust on the move, saves my back after a few days of detecting.

Watched the most recient Mine Rescue show and saw Steve's apperance. That coil looked huge, thought it was the largest coil not the second size. Nice to see you Steve in a setting like Mine Rescue.

Early on, I think the first season of Freddy's show, he told one of the folks he helped to fill a gold vile and that would be his pay. All of the material used to up-grade equipment is payed for by the folks he is helping. The best gold show on TV because of the help he provides. Gold Rush is also good. I know they are not all 100% real but much better than many other shows on TV.

Nice nm90403, anyone would be happy to fine those nuggets.
Brave Enough (or Foolish Enough) To Go Out To The Desert Immediately After "tropical Storm"?

We all know big rain storms move dirt perhaps enought to expose more gold, lets hope this storm does that.
