Why I Tend Not To Post My Finds
MSC replied to ☠ Cipher's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I tend to agree with you Cipher, tuff call sometimes, but these things would not be found if not for you or others in the same circumstances. Perhaps if something is of incredible historic value something could be worked out with a Museum or authorities. Good luck with your finds. -
That's a 4+gram beauty prunt, I'd be real happy to find one that size.

GPX 6000 And Audio Boosters - What Is Your View?
MSC replied to Northeast's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
Windy conditions and cold days, I use headphones, the 6000 phones are the best Minelab has offered in my opinion, very comfortable, I have a good set of blue tooth ear buds for other times. I don't mind using the speaker at times also. A lot of good options with this detector. I used the 17'' the other day looking for meteorites in Utah, and had no problems with that coil as I had a little apprehension due to some other post I have seen. -
Wow, a lot of shotgun pellets, I have hit a lot but not that many in one detector session. Nice little gold, hope to get out and get some of my own soon. Thanks for posting.

I high wind, the other option is to go back to camp and have a few beers and look forward to tomorrow.

Nice finds strick, I would love to find finds like you have. Been just looking for gold for some time but becoming more of a fan for coins and relics lately.

I think this discussion shows that having and keeping more than one detector can contribute to a more well rounded metal detecting experience.

Good gold Chris, pretty little nuggets.

Yea, it's tuff going in the wind. Sometimes you have to do the best you can. The only way, with headphones, is to keep the wind to your back which includes walking backward to detect for piece then forward again! Weird but the only way you can hear at all sometimes.

jasong, Nick Zenter is one of the best most interesting presenters of ancient history in parts of the West. There is also a theory of a huge Lake Montana in Canada also breaking out of an ice dam and creating a huge flood flowing out the St. Lawrence Seaway. When much sea ice was locked up on land during the last Ice Age, the oceans were up to 300 feet below current sea levels. You can imagine that many villages and towns were built along areas that are now under water. Many of the large releases of major large bodies of water would have flooded many of the low lying towns and villages. We know some about the Ice Age lakes here on our continent, how many more of this type of event happened around the rest of the world?

Nice 350, waiting for days 7,8,9,10 and beyond. -
I also subscribe to ICMJ, the only magazine I get any more. The ( now previous ) owners have sold it to a new husband and wife team recently.
