The coil should be fine unless it's has some cracks you can't see or the coil wire has cracks. Also if you go more than 1 foot deep you WILL risk getting the control box wet, at 2 feet deep any wave can easily splash water onto and into the control box, at 3 feet deep the control box will be in the water for sure!!! That all being said if you do use it in the water, be very careful of getting the coil higher than the control box while using or putting it back in your vehicle to return home as any water inside the rod can easily run up the rod and get into the control box, even a little bit of water can do damage if it gets into the control box, especially salt water. I would suggest just using it out of the water, or just very shallow water at best.

Axiom Coil Bolt Update - Now Available Online
Gold Seeker replied to CarsonChris's topic in Garrett Metal Detectors
I was at the Garrett Direct website but the search function after typing in "bolt" just goes on and on and I never get a result, I tried the same with a search for "Axiom" and got the same results.....which was nothing. Edit: I never give up, I just tried again and finally got the search function to work. -
Axiom Coil Bolt Update - Now Available Online
Gold Seeker replied to CarsonChris's topic in Garrett Metal Detectors
Just an FYI, I checked their website and used their search function, which didn't seems too work at all for anything, but I clicked the drop down menu for "Sport Products" and then to the far right I clicked on under accessories "Stems, Coverups And Replacements Parts" and found the Axiom coil bolts and washers there. -

Gold Detecting In The Philippines
Gold Seeker replied to Goldseeker5000's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
What people see on TV does really happen, just not all the time. Yes they are good people everywhere, a majority really that will bend over backwards to help you...but in some places such as parts of the Philippines you never know when you may meet up with the bad people of the world who would just as soon rob, kidnap or murder you, so it's really a gamble IMHO and I wish you luck and safe ventures!! So just keep your wits about you and don't trust all you meet!! -
Beach Hunt 2023 Has Started
Gold Seeker replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
The UN Blower brush was made to clean camera lens, etc., they are made by a company in Japan who first started making them in 1958, the brush attachment can be remove and use the blub as just a blower for whatever needs blowing, so you can very well use it for starting a fire I guess!! They also made other shapes, attachments and even some of different colors as well. Even have this one with Zodiac signs. -
That publication can be found here.... https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1968/0603/report.pdf

That UN blower bulb had a hollow stem with a brush on the end, it's made so you can wipe dust and blow it away at the same time by squeezing the bulb. Here's a photo of a complete UN Blower Brush. -

He also has other videos on many subjects but the following link is to his mostly his gold videos and a few gem related videos. pick and choose or watch them all, they're all great. https://www.youtube.com/@flagold/search?query=gold

New Tv Series - America's Backyard Gold With Dave Turin
Gold Seeker replied to phrunt's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
If I recall correctly Dave never did anything at Jason's claim because as mentioned the lack of water. Jason however joined up with Dave as a crew member on the show. -

Big Clad Haul With A Nice Relic Too
Gold Seeker replied to UT Dave's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
From what I found online it appears the token is from Salt Lake City and if so I found this old news paper article in the Salt Lake Telegram from 1923 that is reporting on what appears to be baseball teams, one of the teams is sponsored by "Browning Auto", which could be where that token came from, but who knows, I searched for them with "1923" as part of the search and couldn't find any other info. https://newspapers.lib.utah.edu/details?id=18989144 -
