Looks like the factory screen protector is still in place. I would peel it back far enough to see whether the screen is actually scratched.

Nearly forgot... Same day, I emailed another small dealer from his website contact page. Still haven't heard from him.

Been there, done that recently. Texted a small metal detector dealer and it went like this... Me: Hey, this is Blind Squirrel, I'm interested in product A and product B. Can you call when convenient for you? Dealer: I don't think we can get product B yet, but I'll check. Me: Not surprised. I'm good with a follow-on order. A week has gone by - crickets.
