  1. My experience thus far with the 10x5 coil is that it is very sensitive. I usually use it in multi and have not tried it in 20 or 40hz as yet. I am by no means an expert here but while I was experimenting with it I found that you have to turn the sensitivity down to like 15 or lower to quiet it down. It also depends on the ground you are using it in. Here in Nevada the ground is highly mineralized thus the lower sensitivity. Also turn your recovery speed down to like 4 or 5 and go low and slow on the ground. All this must have confused you a bit and as a novice with this coil I apologize. I mainly use the 6" coil as I have found more gold with it. Hope any of this helps.
  2. Yes Steve the issue was resolved as they sent me new headphones. No information was given as to why they shut off. I would have liked to know what was wrong with them. Perhaps they will respond to my e-mail request and tell me. I will let you know. Thanks for your response!
  3. Yesterday will be the second time I have gone out nugget hunting using the Equinox wireless headphones. They were fully charged and just shut off 3 times. They were paired with the machine and just shut off. Is this something I should contact minelab about or has anyone any idea what might be causing this? Thanks much, Dave
  4. I have found a dealer who stocks the 10x5 coil cover for the coiltek EQ Go to Crawfords Metal Detectors UK. They sell for $24 plus shipping from UK. Thus, it costed me like $45 to purchase 2 of them. Very nice people and fast shipping for coming from over the pond as they say. Coiltek did contact me again and said that they were going to send me one free which is great but I've not received it for almost a month now so the verdict is out on that. I hope this helps someone. Happy hunting all!!
  5. A rather noob question but can anyone tell me where I might find the coil cover for the 10x5 coiltek coil? I have even contacted Coitek and they said they would forward my request to a supplier. I've never heard from anyone. I just recently purchased the coil and also purchased an extra coil cover (I thought) as an extra. It was way too big for the coil 😞 I know the coil cover comes with the coil on purchase, I just wanted to buy an extra one. Thanks much guys and a great site!!
