For me, the bone conductive phones do ok in noisy environments as long as I’m using pitch audio or 2 tones.

I don’t know anything about that stuff either, but I like the idea! My Olight’s charge that way and I’m a fan.

I agree phrunt. I also have no use for it here, but I like the direction they went as far as compatibility with the D2.

Well it seems the beach programs may have an issue with iron separation, so you may want to stick to General around those areas. Otherwise there’s no magic pill for all around detecting. Find some targets in an area try some different programs and settings on them. Note the differences and enjoy the never ending process

Just wanted to remind everyone at least in the US to take bug precautions when detecting. I’m in PA, in my mid 40’s, and woke up to a tick stuck to my ribs about 9 days ago. last week I was having trouble thinking straight, that progressed quickly into a high fever, extremity numbness, and blurry vision. After a few days of antibiotics, I’m feeling mush better but still have some numbness and blurry vision. Lyme disease is no joke and can last a lifetime. And there are numerous other diseases that can come from ticks, chiggers, mosquitoes, bugs…. Take precautions and be vigilant.

General is just on another level around iron. Glad you guys are putting this machine through the wringer! I haven’t got to experiment too much lately. All my inland sites are full of poison ivy and skeeters.

I don’t pretend to understand how these detectors really work or process information, but it seems logical to assume that ground information must play a very specific and critical role in the D2’s programs. (Probably most good SMF detectors also).

I wonder if the beach and diving programs need the salt/mineral component to process things correctly.

I got out with 1.1 over the weekend for a bit. I went to a foundation that I’ve hunted many times so I could play with some settings on familiar ground. Overall I’m quite happy with is so far, but I really haven’t got to run it enough yet to comment on anything specific.

I figured it out - for some reason if I had the WS6 on as well, it allowed the control box to progress to update. Go figure... not intuitive at all.
That’s a new one. Glad you got it updated.

Sorry I missed that. Feel free to delete my post since I you covered it previously. I try to keep up but sometimes I miss it 😀

That worked TJ, thank you.
No problem. I was going to type in directions, but finding a good video was way faster

Just as a heads up, any V1.0 custom programs will not migrate to V1.1. Don’t get too disappointed if you worked on some custom slots.

This shows how to disable the auto on feature for the WS6.

Nice ring! I’m not sure if the D2 or its latest version helped find it in the conditions you described, but great find for sure.

Also, Chase’s list of questions at the beginning of this thread sum up any question I’ve had plus more. My biggest need/want to know though is whether or not each FA or CSS base program are the same if given the same user parameters. That could really change custom program experimentation. Well that and a good explanation of frequency addition, which I’ve wondered about and Chase brought up on another thread.

While there are some legitimate issues arising with V1, I appreciate the fact that they’ve noted our likes, dislikes, and wishes and made major changes based on “us” the users. The new full tones and its adjustability along with fmf max freq are real steps in the right direction.

Dive Shaft Floating
in XP Deus II Forum
Posted
I don’t own the dive shaft, but I’d be more inclined to allow water to displace any air in the shaft rather than add weight (if air is the buoyancy issue).
