  1. I always carry out the barbed wire I find detecting hayfields. Farmers lose animals regularly due to ingestion of the stuff. Tom
  2. Got a question. How many iron numbers are on the adjustable tone break, is it 10, 40 or something else. Conductive ground mode is new. Is it more than just being able to balance to salt? Thanks Tom
  3. I had considered the Snake as an alternative to the 5"DD on the G2. Checking with a NEL dealer who has used both he came to the conclusion that the difference in separation, if any, was negligible. Since I already had the 5" I took a pass on the Snake coil. Tom
  4. Impact or Mosca...Any bets on which hits the streets first?
  5. Hush now Steve. You are letting out the secrets of a good VLF operator. Tom
  6. I wonder what White's used for the screen and menu faceplate? Gorilla Glass maybe? I hope it's very durable and that they cycle tested it. Tom
  7. Something I liked about the X-terra 70 was the ability to notch out an individual iron zone. What I would do was note which zone was giving the most iron responses and then notch it out. This of course caused the iron in that zone to null the audio. I used the amount of nulling as an indicator to reduce the sensitivity. Reducing the sensitivity reduced the nulling and allowed better "see-through" albeit reduced depth which you won't get in heavy iron anyway. It seems this will work with the MX Sports relic mode as well.
  8. I prefer a well designed pistol grip for land use as well. It's the only reason I have a G2+ instead of an F19.
  9. Ever try to use a pistol grip style handle in the water? Too Much torque on the wrist because the force of the water resistance is felt in the hand, not the forearm. S grips are much better. With the center mounted coil and the battery pack located under the armrest where the pivot point point of the swing is located his thing should be a sweet handler in the water.
  10. Hi Steve I agree for relic hunting that could be an issue. I'm excited about this one more so than anything that has come out lately. It's my dream water hunter. I gave up on begging Dave J & Co to make one. The popularity of the AT Pro proved that there is a market for fresh water VLF'S . All metal with the iron grunt will be the first thing I'll check for wading. Got me so excited I had to come out of hiding to post. LOL Tom
