It might? If so probably in Indiana. I can't follow it that far on the map for some reason? It seems to stop a few miles off the property. Maybe it goes underground? I don't know if streams do that in this area. Like they do in Pennsylvania.

I purchased a Milelabs equinox 800 in Quartzite AZ, I'm staying at a family ranch in SW Michigan for the summer it has a nice stream running through the 200 acres of land all for my private enjoyment. Any help on the likelyhood of gold in the part of the state? I'm just a few miles north of the Indiana border and South Bend. I marked where the stream travels through the property. I know I'll probably find coin and jewelry it's been used for camping, snowmobiles and a horse ranch for decades back to the 40s just wondering if gold is possible in this part of the state ? Chicago is only 112 Miles away going around the bottom of Lake Michigan . I have until fall to search as much as I can before it's going up for sale. There is a old cemetery on the property also but I'm a little creeped out about swinging a Detector in there. Probably lots ot stuff dropped over the years it dates back to the early 1800s maybe I'll just swing the outside perimeter of it but not inside the iron fencing. Nobody had public access to it. I was giving an extra bigger 15" (I think it's packed away) coil free they said I can exchange for a smaller one when they get more in next week. I'm not sure if I want to do that or try to trade it for a pointer? They said they can't get pointers in recently for some reason?

This is not a classified ad just a question. When I purchased my Equinox 800 they threw in a Free Minelab EQX15 coil . It's still sealed in the bag. I wanted a pinpointer but the shop I purchased everything at was sold out of all brands. Does this coil have enough value to trade for a pinpoint? Again I'm not selling or trading here just asking if it's worth looking into or offering it for a trade. The store said all he could do is next week he could do a even swap for a smaller coil I think a 8" . All in using now is the included EWX11 .

We started full time in a RV about a year ago to see the country as we retired. Hope to get some valuable information from the forum. I've always wanted a detector and watched others use them from a distance. Now that I have one it's nothing like I thought lots to learn about the sounds etc .

I just picked up my first detector. A minelab Equinox 800. I'm in the Long Term Visitors Area (LTVA) Quartzite AZ. Lots of Quartz all over the place most of it was probably moved over the years by campers. Anyone have a suggestion where to legally search? I've been looking for coin and jewelry in the immediate area around my camper but all I've found are nails ??? Lots of them? And strips of wire. I'm getting hits on some things but the ground is so hard and compacted from years of heavy camper traffic. We will only be here for a few more weeks before heading towards Texas then north towards Michigan . Just looking for suggestions from anyone that's been here before. I'm not necessarily looking for gold nuggets "That would be Nice" just to practice and maybe find some coin. There is a big Wash running through the town I believe is still on BLM land.
