I like the ring. Win win situation, kids got to swim and you got to hunt.

Welcome to the forum, you will find a lot of trash. The treasure is there you just need to get your coil over it.

When I get tired I dig less targets in the foil range. Probably have missed a few good targets. I primarily hunt wet sand or in the water up to my chest. Some places I hunt there is a lot of foil in the water, in that situation I move to out deeper. I found a 14k pendant the other day and it rang up a solid 6 in the wet.

I got rid of my 6 inch coil after I used my 10x5 , better coverage and I find the separation is very good and in trashy parks. I’ve not used it at the beach as I prefer the 15 inch due to the amount of coverage.

I’ve watched both videos bashing the manticore, while I generally enjoy his videos he’s starting to lose his credibility. I’ve noticed that in the beginning of his videos he’s pushing people to give him likes. Likes increase revenue and having click bait titles increases traffic.
my first thought when he was using all terrain was of corse it’s going to miss low number gold, that’s what happens when you notch out low numbers.

Four hour beach hunt yesterday netted two pieces of gold. Thursday it was to rough to get into the water so I went back yesterday to much better conditions. Tides were a little high, about half a foot. Went out into the water and was only finding bits of aluminum and some zincons so I decided to hunt the wet. Had a good signal the was jumping from 10 to 12 right at the high tide line, 10k gold class ring. Hunted a little longer and didn’t find anything other than more bits of trash, so I decided to hunt a different beach. Second beach same as the first, lots of small aluminum and some clad. I was about to call it quits when I got a signal jumping from 2 to 4 thinking it was more aluminum I dug it anyway and got the 10k gold earring.
the ring weighs 5.87 grams and the earring weighs .63.
the class ring had the woman’s full name in it so I did a search and found an email address, hopefully she contacts me back and can identify the ring so I can return it to her.
my settings were beach low conductor, sensitivity 23, 5 tones , recovery speed 5 , normal audio.

That’s a lot of coins, the salt water sure turns them crusty. I’ve never found any silver coins that weren’t either black or dark grey at the beach.

I purchased one a few years ago, it stopped working after about 6 months. They told me to send it in for warranty repairs but I procrastinated and never sent it in. I made one myself and have been using it ever since. I believe the one I made works better.

Welcome Dave,👋
Yeah, Steve, the administrator/owner, just put that in place, as we were getting alot of spammers hitting the site! Keep posting and you will be editing like the rest of us soon enough!😂
Great finds, and welcome to the forum!!🍀👍👍
BTW, I've noticed that before with rings, corrosion will get in between the stone and setting, and when disturbed, the stone or stones can drop out! Also when digging!👍
You have a very familiar detecting name!!🤔😁
My name is really common, I’ve had police show up at work with warrants, fortunately I wasn’t the person they were looking for. I’m definitely not an engineer by trade, spent most of career as a parts manager at a marine dealership.

I forgot add that I had one 925 earring

Four hour beach hunt yesterday, water was still a little cool so I wore my hip boots. Couldn’t get out much deeper than mid thigh but it was good enough. Silver count was 1 ring, 1 earring and 1 1950 gw quarter. I also had 2 junk rings and a small amount of clad.
I did electrolysis on the silver and then tumbled it. Not sure where the stone in the ring went to, I think it fell out while is was rinsing it.
the bad weather we’ve had recently stirred up a lot of trash but it also moved some good targets. I’m going back tomorrow morning to give it another go.-
