  1. That's a great relic hunt. The Deus 2 worked good. You will have more IH's coming your way.
  2. Calabash did a video with the 11" & 6" on buried test coins. The 6" coil performed very well.
  3. I agree we need a 5x9.5dd coil and would like to see a 7" or 8" round concentric coil.
  4. This is an air test on small foil and gold. All mode settings, sensitivity 22, 2 tone, tone break 0, iron bias f2 0, recovery 4. All hits id 1. 5. Great find with the Tejon. It did it's job. I like finding those crotal bells. I haven't found one with a dingaling in it. It's also been awhile since I found one.
  6. The Equinox w/6" coil in Beach 1 mode, will not hit this small piece of foil but will hit the 10k gold piece. In my fresh water beaches I would not hunt in Beach 1 mode. On land, Beach mode could be good for jewelry hunting and getting some small jewelry while eliminating the small foil. I don't know how well Beach 1 mode is on gold earring studs. Still thought it was interesting. I haven't tried it on land. Sensitivity 22, 2 tone, Tone break 0, F2 0 and recovery 4.
  7. Good hunt. The merc came out in great condition.
  8. I have never used a coil cover and never had any problems.
  9. Nice hunt. A cool toy car. To bad it was in a crash! 🙂
  10. The Nox does have great id and easier setup. Both the Nox and Legend are hot on small jewelry. The Legend in Gold field is what to use for small jewelry. I like having them both. On land I'm using the Nox and in the water the Legend.
  11. I choose the Equinox 800 over the Legend right now also. I agree 100% with you Jeff. The Equinox has that extra quality in the design. Unfortunate it didn't have better waterproofing. Right now the Legend is my dedicated lake hunter.
  12. I have an Equinox 800, Legend, Xp Orx, tejon, Vaquaro & Gold Kruzer for lake & relic hunting. They will each have there places.
  13. Great find. Must be nice hunting with that wind to cool you down.
  14. That's a good hunt. With no gold, at least you found some silver. A nice looking ring too.
  15. Thanks Steve, I'm not going to get one just see if it works for relic hunting.
  16. It looks like you had an incredible time there. That beach looks miles long. It has to be intimidating looking at as you detect. Great photos as always.
  17. I do use the Equinox 800. The Gold Kruzer has the best separation in iron. I use both of them and my other detectors.
  18. If I get one and decide I'm keeping it. I might alter it making it lighter.
  19. I use the Gold Kruzer relic and jewelry hunting and it can be a noisy detector. I am thinking the 24k could replace it and the Gold Kruzer could take a break. The 24k is quite an incredible detector. It runs quiet.. The Gold Kruzer can drive me crazy sometimes. I want to know if the 24k would work as a relic hunter. I know it is nugget detector and is extremely sensitive to very tiny targets. With the Gold Kruzer I set it to disc out nails and dig targets above foil when relic hunting to eliminate those tiny targets. I assume the 24k can do this too. Am I right? I like using a nugget detector for relic and gold jewelry hunting plus my other detectors. The Gold Kruzer has incredible separation and I assume the 24k does too. I also use: Equinox 800, Legend, Xp Orx, Gold Kruzer, Vaquaro and Tejon.
