Ask a mason. Mason use that all seeing eye which is God. On the back is Hebrew letters something like this nin' which means "God". I think it's the Star of David on the back. Maybe it a Jewish pendant.

I would like to hear more about the Prospect mode and iron mask. It's the first true all metal detector I've seen that has iron mask with it. That is interesting and has me interested. The X-Terra is a lot like the Equinox. The Equinox doesn't have an all metal mode with iron mask though.

How old could those triangular lead weights be. I haven't seen any of those in Michigan.

Mike, Have you tested the X-Terra in Prospect mode on micro gold. This is from a post Steve did. "The Prospect mode is a true threshold based all metal mode, which is much more powerful. Simply toggling between the two easily proves this. The part that I admit I am unclear on myself is how the iron mask differs from standard discrimination except the obvious - it applies to ferrous only and so uses a different methodology that appears to have minimal impact on performance. It may be a form of mixed mode processing, also discussed in my article." I've always heard you can't have a true all metal and disc. So the iron mask is interesting that you can have true all metal. It's unfortunate there is no display in Prospect mode. That really would help when hunting for gold.

Yes I meant single frequency. I don't think you missed anything but your right the only way to know is testing to see.

In emi which would be better. Multi frequency with sensitivity turned down or single frequency with sensitivity high. I think single frequency would be better in that situation.

Unfortunately they are new coins. The nickel is 1976. I'm going back tomorrow and see how I do.

I really like the coil. It has a sharp detecting edge and is fast. It was nice out. Was 55F. I went to field next to an old school house where I've gotten old coins before. I went to a different area. There was emi and used 15 khz and it ran smooth with sensitivity 24, 2 tone, recovery 4 (should have used 6, lots of iron), Iron bias F2 0. The single tones run so smooth. Only one keeper, maybe drawer pull?

If the ground is really dry I have put water in the holes if it's in a nicer yard. Some water in the hole has kept any grass from dying. I also make 3 cuts and lift the sod and roll it back in when I'm done.

I've used the Gold Kruzer only lake hunting out to my chin. I haven't seen anyone post about it leaking on the Kruzers/Anfibio. I'm impressed with it's depth and it likes gold. It won't match a PI for depth though. The Gold Kruzer is a sensitive chatty detector and will find tiny targets. I had to turn sensitivity down to 80. It is an impressive detector for what it's made for.

I have the Golden mask One 24 Khz. It is an interesting detector and runs smooth. I have 4 other detectors and decided I'm not going to keep it. I mostly hunt lakes and I use the Equinox 800 and Anfibio Multi. If you want to try the Golden Mask One 24 khz I'm selling it $325 shipped. It has a 9" and 12" coils. It has wireless headphones and you can use regular headphones. It has a nice display. I used Gain 30, Iron Volume 2. It is an easy detector to use.

I don't know a lot about them. Only from what I've seen on videos. They look like they run quiet and unmask well. The graph display looks interesting. They detect deep. I would like to have the Golden Mask 6 sometime. I do have a Golden Mask One 24 khz coming on Wed I bought used. So I'll find out then.

You have a great spot to hunt. Unfortunate for the soft sand. Don't step in any quick sand. A scoop can come in very helpful. I was hunting in a lake and one spot had a big hole. One time I stepped into it by mistake. I used my scoop to help pull me across it and I didn't go under.

I received my 5x10 in a padded bag. It works great.

That would make for the lightest detector made. With a drone you could hunt for 20 min. It's a great idea except for the limited flight time.

What a hunt. Great finds. It's not hunted out yet.
