Soak it overnight in hydrogen peroxide. Just put some in a cap and put the coin it. If that doesn't work the last resort would be electrolysis. I found a coin at a railroad station that was solid black. I did electrolysis on it and found out it was a Barber quarter. Wasn't any good only for silver but was nice to know I found a Barber quarter.

I've heard Coiltek is going to make the 14x9 coil lighter. I'm interested in that one but if it's to heavy then I'll pass on it.

Wondering if it might not happen.

Ok that's good. So in 2 tone or deep mode you can set tone break to 0 if you want and set iron volume to 0 if you want and use notching. Makes me want a Kruzer/Anfibio again.

Now I'm confused why the Multi Kruzer in 2 tone that the tone break can't go to 0 and since it has notching it would work well. With iron volume set at 0, 2 tone mode would then be single tone mode like a Tejon with an iron volume, disc at 0 and with notching. I don't know if you can do that with the Multi Kruzer in 3 & 4 tone mode or Deep mode. My Gold Kruzer in Micro mode has disc, a tone break that goes to 0 and an iron volume but no notching. Maybe you need a Gold Kruzer. Iron volume at 1 is very quiet on iron.

Ok your right, Gold Kruzer in Micro mode has a disc, tone break and iron volume. Multi Kruzer has a 2 tone mode with no disc and a tone break. The tone break can only go as low as 15? It's been awhile since I had a Multi Kruzer.

Yes I can set disc at 0, tone break where I want and iron volume to 0 so I hear no iron. This is the same on the other Kruzers and Anfibios. Gold Kruzer doesn't have notching unfortunately. When I use my Gold Kruzer in the water I hip mount the controller and use a carbon fiber straight shaft. Nice easy to swing. More susceptible to emi with disc at 0.

My Gold Kruzer can set disc at 0 and use tone break. It is noisier with disc at 0 in my house with the emi and if I raise disc to 22 most of noise is goes away. Lower it below 22 and it noisy. I find that strange.

The Deus/Orx are nice being wireless to waterproof but you need the extra cable closer to the box for the coil to work. I have the waterproof kit for my Orx and a waterproof smart phone case for it.

I think all water hunters that have an Equinox want to see this. You would have a product you could make and sell. I hip mounted my Equinox 800 all last summer. Very nice swinging in the water that way. I would be on that list that wants one.

For best waterproof detectors you need one rated to 200' to 250' like the CZ21, Excalibur, Detectorpro Underwater and PI's that have that rating. There are not many that I know of that are rated to 200'. I like that those detectors can be hip mounted and the Detectorpro Underwater is all in the headphones. The rest of the waterproof detectors are IP68. The Kruzer's, Simplex and Anfibio are very well built and I haven't heard of one leaking.

I'm still really interested in the 14"x9" for the lakes and will give it try anyway. It might go a little deeper than the 11" coil. So the 14x9 coil would be about equal to an 11.5 to 12" round coil. Being narrow should help in the water and the extra coverage. I would like to see Nel coils for the Equonox. The Superfly would be a nice coil for it.

The 14"x9" coil weighs 72.5% more than the 11" coil. What will that do to the balance? I need to see some reviews on this one before I would get one. It just doesn't seem like it could work well. I could be wrong.

I'm interested in the 10"x5" and 14" x 9" for lake hunting but how can that coil weight 880 grams.

Still looks like that wire mesh needs bracing on the back for your foot to push on. Maybe it's supposed be pulled instead of pushed. My scoops are pushed in from the back.

Nokta scoop is nice having adjustable angle for your handle. That's the first one I've seen that has that. It does look weak though where your foot pushes. I have a heavy duty stainless sand scoop and the back is rounded where I push. A brace on the back would be good. I have another lighter stainless scoop but haven't used it enough. No brace on the back. I saw an aluminum scoop that had a nice brace on the back for pushing. Expensive though on ebay Hybrid Metal Detecting Sand Scoop.

The cheaper RTG's have a straight shaft. I like mine at angle.

That's true. I can't wait till someday when I can use the Superfly. To bad my Gold Kruzer can't use it.

Mars has a nice selection of light weight coils too. I don't think it is waterproof. A nice looking detector but to expensive.
