Steve, How do the Gold Racer and Gold Kruzer compare?
-
With the Gold Kruzer the first year I hunted in Micro mode. The next year I hunted in Deep mode. This year switch back to Micro mode which is the better than Deep mode for micro gold like the mode says. Disc set at 22 takes out nails.
This detector is a true relic hunter too. A true relic detector to me means it will hit on iron relics which I like a detector to do. I like the GK24 9.5 x 5 dd and the GK19 7.5 x 5 dd. I like concentric coils but I don't like the concentric coil with this detector. I would really like to see an 8" coil.
I think you would enjoy the Gold Kruzer. Depth is good in my mild ground. 61khz hitting my 10" test dime.

Good report. Concentric coils pass this test very well with 2 nails with a coin in between. DD's don't like this test very well except some detectors with dd like the XP can do it.
Tesoro's worked very great in iron with concentrics.

I like how the handle is attached. Looks like it holds it tight.

It looked fast in the videos I saw but that doesn't mean much. We'll be hearing soon.

Try lake and river hunting. I'm in northern Michigan and have run out of areas on land to hunt and the last 3 years I have been hunting the lakes. You probably have good streams to hunt too. My streams are all fast water trout streams.

That could be hammered Indian copper. Could be 4000-6000 years old. I found a copper knife the Indians hammered out and is said to be 4000-6000 years old.

That's what I call a great relic hunt.

Nice video. I liked it. The Tarsacci can find earrings. Nice silver earring.

I don't like it in northern Michigan when it's 85-90F. I go out in the morning when it 60's to 70's.
-
Maybe they are waterproofing it.

Strange Minelab won't tell us what frequencies are in each mode.
-
That's something we all want to know. I would consider trying one if I could do that.
-
That's a great find! I love those arrowheads.

You could use 5 tones and customize it the way you want and what you want to hear and find. If you want micro gold you can set the tone break there and adjust the tones. Or if you don't want micro gold set it so you don't hear foil. You could turn it into a 3 tone. For no foil you can also use 2 tone and set so you don't hear foil and dig everything else. Park 2 and Gold 1 & 2 are the hottest modes on gold.
I don't see why it can't be a park hunter for gold.

Use Park 2 or Gold mode.

It's interesting that the scoop is aluminum too. I wonder how well that will hold up. Should be very light. I hope it works well.
-
I haven't used it but I like it. I like that the front has no holes and is light weight. I'll be getting one next spring. My main scoop right now is all stainless steel.
7.5" aluminum V-shaped bucket with 9/16" punched holes
Angled back plate
40" aluminum handle with foot bracket support
Comfortable rubber hand grip -
Boost mode with 0 disc hits hard on small gold like my 10k white gold earring. Increase disc to 22 at nails and can't hit it. Gen and Micro modes can't hit it.

-
The Impact that had Gen mode with disc isn't really an all metal mode. True all metal can't have disc. Still with the Impact Gen was my favorite mode.

How would the Xp Orx do there?
