  1. The first photo is obvious why it would be detectable. But this one isn't.
  2. I have found several pieces of sylvanite and caleverite in the laplata mountains in southwest Colorado with vlf units and the falcon. Some pieces have masses of gold but some don't. The telluride is definitely detectable. I have some pieces I will post as soon as I have time.

  4. When I was about 10 I used my Dad's compass TR. and found a few silver coins. So I saved up and bought a whites 6DB vlf and went door to door in Durango Colorado and found mass coinage. A guy by the name of Ron Driscol saw me and took me detecting a bit. Ron moved to Arizona for the gold. I lost touch with him for about 20 years. I got back in touch a few years before he passed.
  5. Thanks for the correction, it's hard to understand and you can only ask "what " so many times. I loved it out there. Hope to return someday. I left gold in the ground because I had to fly out. That was 11 years ago.
  6. I spent a couple months north of laverton and saw a lot of really cool "critters" us yanks aren't familiar with. The bush turkey walked like it didn't want it's hair messed up. I saw a couple snakes the size of a pencil that my buddy Steve Misson said was deadly, a ? Guata? And even more rare, a couple sun bakers!
  7. I'm with JP, give it a go with your 14 for a bit, I think you will be surprised at the results over your 5000 in your patches. You should be able to run high yield normal or general normal in your location and see the advantage. And then go to the 19.
  8. Cool, thanks for taking the time to post this Jasong.I appreciate it, I will check it out.
  9. I am from Colorado originally. There's nuggets here but they are rare. I think there's a lot more here but the country is remote. The season is short, so it stays hidden. I am sure this is the scenario in many places around the world.
  10. Remember, every nugget is significant. Nice work!
  11. Good work! If your not a finder, your a weeper! Some times those half days pay like a full day.
  12. No worries, it's the real deal. I didn't even pay attention to what day it was ( close to).
  13. The largest nugget was over 2 ounces. I may have the opportunity to work it again next year.
  14. You had better give a cut to your inspiration ( Jen) Ha Ha , great job!
  15. That's funny Lunk, it was laying on schist and I say that all the time.
  16. I had the opportunity to detect for a private claim on some really good ground in Arizona. I had to share this. Here's 50 ounces I found in 31 days. I get a small percentage but the experience alone was worth it. I hope you enjoy.
