    Deus Version 5.2 Update

Released 9/13/2018, the version Deus 5.2 Update solves some bugs and improves the connectivity between coils, remote control and headphones. NOTE: The HF and X35 coils do not need to be updated at the moment, so they will be ignored during the DEUS software UPDATE. 8/2/2018 – Version 5.1 improves the connectivity between DEUS and the MI-6 Pinpointer as well as the connection speed. 2. This will be where I will share info. Head to head test. This pic here, look closely towards end of little screwdriver looking magnet. At the end of it lays a #9 shot pellet out of the cartridge in pic. Equinox hits this small item well, even going out to 1-1.25" coil height (air test). Using settings park 2 Mulit freq, speed setting 6, 0 iron bias. I did notice though reducing speed setting seemed to make performance worse (distance wise). What about Deus using 11" LF coil? Deus could hear, have to be real close coil though, tonal signature not as evident nonferrous exist vs Equinox. Equinox is clear winner here with this test. Forgot to say.Sensitivty setting used on Equinox 23. Sensitivity setting used with Deus 93.

Some Xp Deus Repair And Cost Data

I spoke with Michael at Detector Electronics in Ma. He was very courteous with me. I ask a lot of questions. And just may have learned something folks may find helpful. Coils. Battery service cost $50 (if outside timeframe for battery warranty). If coil is defective other than battery, the only recourse an owner has is to ship to France to Xp plant for repair. Michael did not have repair cost associated with the (non battery change) coil repairs. Remote. Keypad will cost you $60 LCD screen will cost you $60 Main board defective $364. Battery change for remote I did not ask about. Nor did I ask about headphone module repairs. The prices stated above include labor costs. As far as defective Deus coils non battery related (out of warranty), Detector Electronics does not ship individual’s coils or receive them from or to France. This is solely the individual owner’s responsibility.

XP Video About New X35 Coils

Published on Aug 15, 2018 - The X35 coil is the latest edition to the XP Deus metal detector range - It offers the detectorist 35 frequencies and better stability plus a new boost mode for deep targets.
  8. If I bought the 11 inch X35 would there be any reason to keep my original LF11 coil. I see the X35 covers all four of the LF frequencies plus adds one more. I would like the boost feature on the X35 in the lowest frequency is the reason I would buy one.
  9. Vs using they what they did for the Hf coils. I have yet to experience any problems in this area using either of my Hf coils. The power wires though leading between battery and coil are exposed somewhat and does get flexed it seems when adjusting coil on rod by swiveling. https://md-hunter.com/warning-to-xp-deus-hf-owners-important/ Here are 2 pics of my actual coils. First is a pic of the Hf coil lower rod with elliptical coil attached. Note the possible structural integrity compromise vs this next pic. THe last pic here is a pic of original lower rod design for LF coils with 11”dd coil attached.

  11. Thought I would share this. All my end items have version 5 loaded. When trying to use MI6 pointer with my first remote tried. It was not paired. But pinpointer would sound off when i mashed research button in menu. Upon turning pinpointer on in a detect mode/screen no cigar. So i removed pointer and re paired all seems is fine. My other remote, for whatever reason it was already paired up and worked correctly when turning pointer on. I have seen some reports of some of the same issues had with verison 4.0 and 4.1as far as linking and delinking problems when using pointer. I will try to run my units and pinointer some in an integrated fansion and see what the deal is and share here.

  13. I started checking more into a mention of XP DEUS Version 4 updates, especially this badly translated information from a French website: So I started Googling and there is a Facebook page for the app at https://www.facebook.com/godetect/ Right now it is mainly just a finds recording and track mapping app much like the Minelab XChange system, but phone based. One photo really caught my eye however. It apparently can use the phone location services plus orientation features in combination with the app to superimpose past finds onto a view of the terrain. The prospecting applications for this alone are obvious. After my pretty much blowing them off last year XP is really getting my interest now.

    New Deus X35 Search Coils

Over the years, the XP DEUS has continued to evolve, especially with the FREE software updates allowing the user to benefit from our advancing technology without the need to buy a new machine. XP have been regularly introducing new accessories, such as the MI-6 pin pointer which connects directly to the DEUS, let’s not forget the super light and incredibly stable new HF coils which have taken the Deus to a new level. This month XP are pleased to announce the upcoming release of 3 new search coils for the DEUS accompanied by a new FREE version 5 update which will also be available soon. New XP DEUS X35 search coils The X35 search coils: Designed around brand new electronic advances, these new high performance and versatile coils will allow you to choose from a wide range of frequencies ranging from 3.7kHz to 27.7kHz. In total there are 35 available frequencies, based around 5 main frequencies that are quickly accessible. A new Boost mode is now an option on frequencies 3.7Khz to 4.4 kHz and can significantly increase detection depth on highly conductive targets, such as large masses and large Silver coins. For added performance on such targets we recommend the larger coils such as the 34/28 cm (13” x11”) or the 28cm (11”) round coil. These new coils will be available as options at the same prices as the previous coils from the end of July 2018, and they will be supplied as standard with the DEUS from September 2018. X35 coil main characteristics: Total of 35 frequencies – 5 main frequencies with 7 wide offsets 3.7 to 4.4kHz, 7.1 to 8.4kHz, 10.5 to 12.4kHz, 15.2 to 17.8kHz, 23.5 to 27.7kHz Selectable frequency offset without loss of performance. TX power adjustment is available on all frequencies and offsets Special Low frequency TX Boost feature: Normal or Boost option – The transmitted power has 2 selectable levels when using frequencies 3.7Khz to 4.4kHz. The BOOST mode significantly increases the transmission power of the transmitting coil, allowing greater detection levels if the soil conditions allow. TX boost is a special mode, the battery life of the coil may be reduced down to 6 hours. The overall battery life of the x35 coil has improved on most frequencies by +10% to +40% High frequencies 23- 27.7kHz – Excellent sensitivity to low conductive targets and small targets. Better overall stability The X35 coils are available in 22cm (9”), 28cm (11”) and 34 / 28cm (13” x11”) and will work with the DEUS in version 5. XP Deus Team USA is a metal detecting show that features team members from across the U.S. who use the XP Deus, one of the top metal detectors on the market. If you love detecting you will love the show!
  18. It seems like a consensus is developing that if you had to have a Deus with only one coil, that the 9” round HF coil is the one to have. Yet it appears that is the only coil besides the 13” not available as a stock coil in a new Deus purchase. The only ones I see for sale like that are on eBay from Russian sources and this U.K. website
