I don't feel bad about using Glow-on paint for my buttons. The stuff is not harmful to plastics, rubber, or anything like that. If something happens to this detector of mine it will not be due to a little bit of Glow-on paint. The stuff is used on all kinds of materials. The way the buttons are made you'd have to intentionally cut into them with a knife or other sharp instrument to cause any kind of damage. Not concerned.

I painted mine with a paint pen the day I got it. That was months ago and it still looks good.

I also used a extra fine paint pen when I first received my Legend, which is something Nokta/Macro and Nokta should have done to begin with, it makes it easier to learn the Legend at the start

If you not in good light you can’t tell what button does what. When I first seen them I couldn’t believe such a great detector fall short because the buttons are not highly visible.

I wonder if they figured they could sell a boat load of their pod covers that have the buttons painted if they left the keypad black?

That dust cover they came out with is crap it moves around to much and half the time you end up pushing the wrong button on the Legend with that dust cover on, i used one on my Legend for about 10 minutes and removed it because of never knowing whether you were pushing the button you were intending on pushing

I just find it amusing that at last count the Legend has been updated 827 times yet they couldn't just send existing owners pod covers and change the buttons on newly manufactured detectors.

where in the heck are you coming up with 827 updates LOL

it has had 10 or 11 updates if you count all the Beta test versions and then one update of hardware adding a new carbon fiber mid shaft and new arm cuff design, i do not personally count the updates that were done prior to release to all of us
