it looks to have a lot of engineered strength in that arm cuff, a positive sign.

Really hard to tell, could be plastic or painted or black anodized metal, but definitely not cross hatch carbon fiber. Betting on metal myself, just has that look. If it is a S rod, fingers crossed, you rarely see carbon fiber employed as those designs tend to rely on straight tubing. XP seems to do just fine with S rods and I hope the Vortex is not another pod on a stick. I’m not sure why but this picture makes me hopeful.

No place to adhere foam padding like the old Garrett arm cuffs.
I hope the legs on the arm cuff are long enough to support the detector-not like those on the Deus machines. 😎

S rod and a landscape screen would be a great start.

I count myself in the "probably not interested" group.  As unless it offers more than the Manticore, well, I'm not interested.  If it does offer more, and has nice touches like an S rod and landscape screen, well, then I will be interested.

Foam pads are days gone by. Almost no new detectors have had them for some time now. Can't say I miss them personally. All those White's I used to take those two stick on pads out, carefully line up and stick on, then watch them erode away for a few years. I do like the new flexible plastic armrests you can cinch down for skinny arms and flex out for large arms, this looks to be that. On the flip side, hard to tell, but that base looks narrow, probably going to tip over unless set down carefully. It's a rare detector where that is not the case.

Since I don't use the cuff strap I just buy 4" wide 1/4" thick Neoprene stick on pads, they wear like iron and provide the necessary chafe resistance. 🙂

Not my favorite color but not bad at all. 🤔

I hope they have something really interesting and hope it sells for them. Not really pleased with their version of a strip tease though. The cuff/stand looks sort of sporty and race ready in a way I can't explain. Looks refined but rugged. Like the way the shaft can be seen inside and gives it a louvered look. I can definitely see some fast sporty attitude.
