very different geology to the left and to the right of the street when driving down before going on the dirt road to the right..😉

Some of the areas here have no similarities to the normal smooth water worn Tertiary boulders and gravels found in California. Some of the hand stacked boulders are really high.

I am no geologist, but I know people who are much better informed, and they are mostly quite confounded about the melange of material up there. It is certainly one of the weirdest areas I've ever detected but it's a really interesting and mysterious (to me), place.

Glad to see you showing off the new Dalas for Doc as I have yet to do my part.  Most interestingly, you said you use it on the GPX-6000.  Just curious why.  Nice gold btw.  I have been out a few times this year as well and so hopefully will get something posted soon.  Probably run into you this Fall when the temps drop 30 degrees.

Gerry,  as you know the Military is for the young and old Generals.  Over my Career, I wore out my right Shoulder, Both Elbows and Wrist amongst a list from the lower half of the Body.  I’ve used the Hip Stick forever even with the older GPX’s.  But, the weight of the 7000 with the help of the old Hip Stick made swinging that beast tolerable.  The new DALAS, works fantastic with the 7000, there is a huge difference in comparison to the Hip Stick.  Yes, I use the DALAS with the 6000 too.  My Shoulder can’t take much more than 30 minutes without relief and with Doc’s DALAS the 6000 is nearly nonexistent during the hunt.  Now, the only pain I feel out on the hunt, is my Knee 😂.  Yes, I’m a beat up fellow and learned a long time ago in Uniform to Work Smarter, not Harder!  Thanks Doc!
