Southern Relic Adventures is or is rumored to be interviewing an XP person this weekend 7/17. Anyone know about this or able to give information about an impending product release?

Have my fingers crossed for a small coil preferably a closed faced elliptical for the D2.

Considering All Manufacturers are in a (mid Range ) Detector war, I bet it’s a new mid Range detector, apparently it’s the bread & butter for the Detector Manufacturers.

Well we know it’s not going to be July 17th because it’s here but we don’t know what tomorrow brings July 18th.

Prolly the HF coil for the D2.

That would be cool. But I just shelled out for the 11x13 so I wont be getting it for a while.

D2 is already technically HF (at least up to 40 - 45 khz both in single and FMF) compared to the D1.  I doubt that XP sees much benefit going to any higher for D2 given that the D1 HF coils provided minimal additional benefit on micro targets for the two frequencies used by the orignal D1 HF coils (54 khz for the 9" round HF, and 74 khz for the 9.5" elliptical).  Hopefully, however, we WILL see a fully compatible small elliptical coil for the D2.  If it indeed has a higher top end frequency than the existing coils (say something between 60 to 80 khz), then that would be a plus, I suppose (provided no other compromises are introduced to accommodate it).  It would be even more interesting if XP introduced a higher frequency compatible for the entire coil lineup, though, again, I see little benefit to doing so.  I would simply be happy to see the small elliptical even if it tops out the current 40 khz.

One feature I would like to see is a mono-frequency option for the Goldfield/Relic programs.
