Tesoro Golden uMax

Over the years I have owned and tried many Tesoro metal detectors. I currently have and occasionally use a Tesoro Bandido II uMAX. One Tesoro that I have never owned or tried is the Golden uMAX. I am now actively on the search for one in mint or near mint condition. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I can locate one? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

That one is rare as hens teeth (especially the "new tones" Golden).-----Wish I would have kept the one I had.

I’m always on the hunt for a Golden uMax too!  Just have to keep an eye on ebay and forum classifieds.   Also need a chunk of cash when they do pop up.  Last few I’ve seen sold quickly for $500 and up.

A pristine Bandido2 uMax just sold for $300ish.  There are 2 Mojaves on ebay for $500-600 right now, also one with a Cleansweep for $999.    I love the Mojave but couldn’t see spending that much for one. The one I bought new, when Tesoro was still around, for $250 is more inline with my budget!!  Hopefully it keeps ticking and finding treasures!! 🤞🤞

How do you tell the difference between an orginal tone Golden uMAX and a "new tones" Golden uMAX? Is there any indication on the detector itself... serial number etc. Is the audio the only way to tell?

after working with golden, I realized that the analog tones of tesoro do not color...I sold it without regret. Success.

The multi-tone Tesoros are getting pricey!!  The royal sabre is a neat machine with surface blanking and notch(accept/reject) but seems a bit much to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, they are getting expensive. I owned and used an original metal-boxed Golden Sabre back in the mid 1980's. It was a good detector. But I am not looking for that model but instead the newer Golden uMAX. I sure hope to find one eventually! And the sooner the better as fall detecting season will soon be here.
