First Hunt With The Gold Bug 2 - Bi...err Small Success!

As I've mentioned in other posts, I'm on a mission to find gold with every gold detector on the market, and I've had some first time luck with a few.  This was particularly interesting because I ran my Axiom, 24k, Nokta Anfibio multi, Gold Monster 1000, Equinox 900 over this same crack and missed these three pieces of gold.  One of the pieces should have been picked up by all of those except the Nokta.  They were chunky boogers.

 

This was also the first time using The Stork titanium crevacing tool.  Bye bye paint scrapers and other hacked together solutions.  This thing made quick work of those deep bedrock cracks.

I have tried other vlf gold machines with some success over the yrs but none came even close to the finds with my GB2 with 3x6 coil. I recently updated my GB2 to the LCD version. It seems just as sensitive as the older knob/switch models. I have PV a medical condition that causes extreme fatigue so I will always have my GB2 along for when I get tired of swinging my gpx. Featherweight machine for sure with that 6x3 coil, and effective.
