Airtemisa
I would like to ask you what equipment you carry when you go out detecting. I'll start. Beach 90% of the time: Pouch: small monocular, multitool, a waterproof bag in case it rains, hat, sunglasses, gloves, pepper spray in case a dog attacks at night, raincoat. Small magnifying glass to read the stamps 😉 Scoop and detector Underwater: Blu3 Nemo, wetsuit, fins, goggles, tube, knife, weights, bottle with fresh water, waterproof bag with cell phone and keys.  I try to carry little equipment and be light. And you, what equipment do you use? Steve, if this isn't the right place for the thread, feel free and move it. Thanks!
F350Platinum
Here's my gear for the beach: Garrett all terrain pouch with belt and holder for my MI-6, Maxpedition roll up bottle pouch, and a Doc's beach pouch for my Fiskars composite trowel. That little shovel really speeds up retrieval due to not being magnetic. Inside the pouch is a spare set of coil bolts for my Deus 2 coils. These are the only kind of nitrile gloves I buy for the summer, they're extremely cut resistant and have a lot of "feel", I can use my cell phone with them on. They are very light, and I have heavier insulated versions up to cold weather for relic hunting. Home Depot usually has them on sale seasonally. I have both a stainless steel and titanium scoop with carbon fiber handles. For relic hunting I wear a fly fishing vest that has a backpack for an extra coil and use this: A leg strap belted pack that doesn't get in the way. I keep a loupe and a tape measure in it. I use a Predator Ranger 11" blade shovel for digging, and kac's fabulous Park Probe tool for fine grassy areas, but I can dig a plug with the Ranger and you'd never know I was there.
klunker
Â I don't do much relic hunting and I've never hunted a beach, but for nugget hunting I carry a grease gun, diesel fuel a few tools, an excavator, a detector, Sour Dough Scott and a briefcase full of permits and paperwork. 5
JCR
I pretty much have an extra of everything in the Jeep Scrambler and Canyon pickup.
Rattlehead
The older I get, the less I carry. I don't even carry a finds pouch anymore. Since I wear cargo pants, I have plenty of pockets. For dirt hunting: Detector, shovel, pinpointer, extra battery, camera, multitool, knife, pepper spray, flashlight, pistol, and a bottle of water. For the beach, its the same except for a scoop replaces the shovel, and dive boots replace my shoes. Oh, and headlamp since I tend to hunt at night.
JCR
Is the pepper spray for 4 legged or two?
Silver Saver
In my pouch: screwdriver, lesche, PP, towel through loop. On me: gloves, cap, knee pads, detector and 18" shovel. In car: bug spray, sunscreen, headlamp, extra battery, backup headphone, sweatshirt, water, and an empty bottle for...the water. Â A small pepper spray in the pouch seems like a good idea. I always figured the shovel is a good deterent, but for an animal spray would be good.

Both! 😄 Ever since running into a couple of not-so-friendly pitbulls while hunting in the woods a couple of years ago, I figured it would be a good idea.
