Nice finds. Looks like some old stuff. I'm pretty sure the piece in the next to last picture with the holes is a shoe tap. Your box of trash looks like my typical hunt!

That medallion/medal is the battleship USS Maine, it was sunk by an explosion in Havana Cuba harbor on February 15th 1898, which shortly after among other issues between Spain and the USA lead to the Spanish American War later that spring through summer.

I can see you've worked hard in those conditions. You've got some interesting bits, I like the Maine medalet  especially .

I guess it's a productive site either habitation or used frequently in the past. The button with 'rich colour^ treble gilt is made here in England in Birmingham, a large manufactory of metalwork.
