Manticore Coil Bolt

Recommended Posts

Never had the problem myself but I'd try some plumbers Teflon tape and see how that goes locking the thread tight.

Maybe your bolt or coil thread is slightly out of spec? I assume if you had another bolt from another coil you would have tried it.

I thought about trying Teflon tape on the bolt--guess I'll give that a try.-----My wife & I are both using the 9" (M9) coils on our Manticores and the bolts have been coming loose on both of them.

Yep had this problem from day one . I tighten it to where I want and then pass a small cable tie through the  yoke and the eye of the bolt .

Thanks Hunter----If the Teflon tape doesn't do the trick I'll do your cable tie solution.-----Thanks to all who responded to this---at least I know I'm not the only one that has been having this problem/inconvenience.

I have this problem as well. It doesn’t take very long before it’s loosened up too much and needs retightening.

I am just spitballing but has anyone tried Loctite thread locker blue? It’s made to be serviceable and not permanent but effective for high vibrations.

According to their website, it's recommended for metal fasteners, specifically.  I don't see anything about compatibility with plastic.
